alot of the GPS trackers you are thingking of like On Star.. recive info from GPS get location and then send out location to home via the wonderful cell network
you have to wonder if it was jsut that they where running cooler.
if they are running cooler than the dew point then they could have had minor condensation either inside or out side of the drive caseing.. after removing it from the cool enviroment to insepection it would have heated up and the visable water would have been gone and the drive would have just looked like it had failed.
this is somehting on pary with tin/zinc wiskers.. (google it if you don't know about it - realy neat stuff)
i play Space Cowboy online http://sco.gpotato.com/.. and they have a reject list in the game - add someone an you will never hear them speak or any of their chatting.. it is quite usefull for the people that just don't leave you alone
i did us them all over the house for a while - then i realized i could see them flickering - so i replaced all fo the ones in my office with normal bulbs and my head aches went away.. i can see things flickering up into the ~80 Hertz range.. CFL just hurt my eyes.. and the light quality isn't as good (get a nice painting and it will look washed out)
while i agree that this bill might have good intentions it doesn't address what will happen to people.
also has anyone ever seen a CFL that worked on a dimmer? i have them in a few rooms now and they only work with normal bulbs

so yea.. when ever I hear about secret courts and laws I do place them the same as any other fascist government.
that is one reason i don't buy sony.. the other is their laptops.. while other mfg's that put in card readers that are SD/MMC/Memory stick compatiable, sony only put in memory stick.. it is that type of attitude that will make them fall.
they are trying to be apple - only apple can pull off masive lockin but that is because they offer a it just works mentality - sony only offers it only works with our crap vision - and personaly the quality of their crap is and has been falling for years..
i boguht a few and played with them.. mine used the shaking to charge a capasitor - it worked quite well.. using a battery sounds like cheating and that it more than likly was a cheep knockoff

also remember that the new mac's have BootCamp which doesn't Virtualize the OS.. so it will be fine.
