But Opera isn't an american company.. so it doesn't matter to the existing anti-trust.. I am still waiting for MS to try a hostial take over of google.. they have the money to pull it off and i am sure the stock holders would be willing to sell..
going public is one of the worst things google could have ever done

No.. to do that they would need to make amazing things and then throw them away saying no one will ever want that..
google is making amazing things.. and they know everyone wants them
acutaly if the door is not locked you can open it and enter.. when the police show up all you have to say is you heard a cry for help and entered.. if the owner or officer asks you to leave you must.. if the door is locked and you breake it open it is breaking and entering.. but if you just open the door you only have to have an ascuse.
now if the door is wide open you can enter without reason and only have to leave when asked to.. funny how the law works
I know what you mean i use http://magnatune.com/ they have a wonderful service and good music at good prices.. and you can download in just about any worth while format including flac... I wonder if the "Industry" even considers that there is "other" stuff out there that we might be listening too and not just the pre-programed crap that they have been putting out..
I just loved NT 4.. man i didn't have keyboards or mouses attached because well you all know hold a key down.. hold the mouse button down and *BAM* 100% CPU usage until you let up.. someone lays a book down on it and the server stops responding
If you buy built by ATI cards (i wish they had never allowed others to build them) you also get a DVD player it is in the media center that is on the cd.
the knock offs don't bother putting this in the package unless it is retail, ATI does it even on the OEM's
oh i can't wait.. and then google can jsut turn around and say
"OK you don't want it on google *click* there gone.. now they will never apear on google agian, on any part, in any place, oh and *click* your subnets banned for abusing the service please feel free to go to the public liberary to use our services"
Personaly i think the Artists should be scared if the RIAA is crazy enough to go after google.
I fulyl agree personaly i am waiting for the i-mates to hit and work in the US market.. then i too can have a trophy wife.... one that can do everything
now back off on the Perl.. that stuff is damn hard to read let alone write good stuff with..
in my mined everything is a walk in the park compared to perl when trying to write something of quality... when your done it is amazing but until then you want to beat people with your keyboard and see if that helps get the bugs out.
not to be rude but they could be doing what any other company with the chance would do... invest where they see growth and not have all the eggs in one basket. Just a thought
I have always wanted to do that.. create a site warning that everything on it is copyrighted.. post a bunch of files labled as the copy righted works.. and have the first seven seconds be it and then jsut me randmly talking about how you just illagly downloaded my speach..
now this would not be for genral people but raterh waiting for the riaa to download it and say opps....then i can sue them for the same crap they are sueing others
i see your point.. but in this case they have the right to provide it freely and if they post it and you download it from them.. you committed no crime in my mind
You know i just have to wonder.. if they are sitting there "monitoring" downloads.. i want ot know how exactly.. are they placing a server out there with them shared and seeing the people connect becuse if they are then hell as far as i care they provided them freely. and if it was cops doing it, it would be entrapment..
i would realy like to know how they are montitoring peoples downloads on P2P networks..
Well in all reality this idea already exists.. if someone wants faster content to a network they peer with it.. and the two compaines agree on who pays what for the peering (please ignore recent L3!=!Cogent). And most peering agreements are nice, if they want to do this then so be it..
But the way i am seeing it is that they will start to cut or limit their "peers" oposing traffic.. in which case, well i don't know.. that has to be illeagle some how..
"whatever the hell that thing is in the Mac logo" that would be a mac.. or a sad mac http://www.macedition.com/partingshot/sad_mac_2001 0914.jpg.. it depends on if he hit the memory controler before the picture was taken

Had to note that one of them has.. but i am willing to bet they didn't want him using the plane like his car http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A170 73-2004Aug19.html

"Admittedly it includes a DVD player application"
If you buy built by ATI cards (i wish they had never allowed others to build them) you also get a DVD player it is in the media center that is on the cd.
