    they trigger on "right on red" aka they take pictures of people taking a right on a red light which in most places is legal as long as you first come to a stop for the red light

    NYC might be different but that was the intent of his comment.

    not true.. 5.8 = 5.8

    even though geology is different - for the area's the 5.8 is the measured amplitude of the strongest seismic wave.

    USGS is pointing this one as a 5.9 at a depth of 1km.. luckily it i was in the middle of nowhere - had it been centered on a city on the eastern seaboard it this could have been a very bad earthquake.

    if that is true that almost ALL software licence from all vendors would not move with sale - this means MS/IBM/Oracle/(insert any company that sells products with licences and has lawyers)... could have a field day ever time one company buys another.

    IANAL but i would venture to say that even if it said not transferable that it would "follow" the company in a buyout, unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

    because there is to requirement for them to enforce it - and the burden is on the "offender" to research the ~8,000,000 different patents to ensure they aren't violating any.

    even if the licence wasn't "transferable" Google would still have it now - as it is an asset and associated with Moto.. they own Moto as a parent company there for they have access to that licence through Moto. they just can't transfer the licence from Moto to another group and then sell off Moto..

    This guy would not have had a squeaky clean past if he did stupid crap like this.

    that argument fails for the first offence.

    and given that each offence has the same potential - you can only use a mark on a a background as a red flag .. you can NOT use a clean record as a green flag. Companies need to profile new hires - and they need to treat employees (ALL not just IT) with respect.

    but it will always complain on first visit - as it goes from unknow to known.. Your reliance on trusting if the cert changes rests on trusting the first cert..

    yeap - still tempted to build a charge box powered off PoE so i can charge my laptop over it in meetings.

    i wasn't in anyways thinking you would have them quick flip on/off but rather be designed to facilitate being disconnected - right now transmission lines are not meant to be disconnected at either end.. there for that task would take considerable time and manpower.

    I agree with you - and the Dual core Atoms are very nice - I use one for an HTPC, and if you get the right one you can get them with VT/VD on it and make life easier on it (in my work usage) - Very very few "netbooks" have that - but rather the slower N270 or something equivalent.

    it already exists.. it's just really bloody expensive.. local place has it for ~1-2$ a square foot. they sell it for specialty things (like scaped gardens that have grass in areas not accessible with mowers)
