Pwned? What is this, Digg?
Next thing you know you'll see headlines like this:
***RUMOR*** Apple might make iBooks a slighterly darker shade of white!!!!
Has anyone seen those "Net neutrality is evil!" commercials on TV?
It's entirely possible that Google hired the company to fight back against the telcos and their ads against net neutrality.
This is actually more or less old news and has been going before the music industry began the witch hunt for music pirates. There used to be a few really good lyric sites in the early days of the net and I believe they were sued (and shut down if I remember correctly) by Fox Media.
On that note, I still find this ridiculous. Much more ridiculous than suing people that download a couple of mp3s on Kazaa. At least when the music industry says that someone that downloads mp3s is costing them money it's at a semi-legitimate claim (though I personally use downloaded mp3s to pick out what CDs are worth buying, then delete what I don't like). To go after someone for putting the words to a song on their website and giving the artist credit for their work is just stupid and greedy. No, I don't want to buy your lyrics also. I bought the right to know the lyrics when I bought the CD.
I don't think you would be struggling for a gun if it's unable to be fired at you unless its in your hands. Part of the reason you would want to struggle is that if the other person gets the gun they could shoot you with it. If they can't shoot you right away that would give you time to pepper spray/taser them (at least from a law enforcement perspective).
Can you hear that? That's the sound of thousands of angry "Back in the good ole days of Slashdot, editors did their job!"/.'ers and math nerds furiously typing to bitch and complain about the error in the article.
But will each new processor warrant its own brand new type of thermal paste, keeping in the same line of Gillette?
"New Intel Mach 512 Core Sensor Extreme Gel! Reduces your processor's temp by a tiny fraction of a degree, if that, and smells great!"
Apple's Airport Express already does this, and I believe soon it's going to be able to stream video also. Is it possible for Apple to gain a Viiv certification? And if so, would this be an opportunity for Apple to really start gaining market share from Windows? With the latest Vista Delay (tm), Apple may have a real chance, if they use their legendary ability to stir up the market, to create the livingroom presence that Windows has been trying to get. Apple already has the technology (or I imagine they will soon), they just need to make the necessary marketing push to get the ball rolling.
Things may have changed since when I was in the loop (working as a salesman at CompUSA), but the way it worked was that you pay your local broadband provider for an account and THEN you pay AOL for a subscription on top of that so that you can still access AOL's crap (the same startup page and web browser you get when you use dial-up).
Yeah, I thought that was an excellent idea and business model also.
So... what happens when AOL's customers realize that if they can get broadband they don't have to pay the extra money to stick AOL's crap on top of an existing connection?
I suppose you've never tried walking Joe Sixpack through setting up a wireless network (or even connecting to one), much less using his wireless card to create the new internet.
From what I've heard, part of the problem is that the U.S. wouldn't sell helium to Germany during that time (for obvious reasons, even before we were in the war). So if the blimp uses helium rather than hydrogen, it has a very low chance of catching fire.

And thus, the great robot wars begun.
Good thing we'll never have to worry about these issues, since Vista seems to be delayed at least once a month.
We're working on it. If you didn't notice, a lot of the world is kinda miffed at the U.S. right now. Just be patient.

Damn. Only a few comments into the thread and we've already Godwin'd it.
I wouldn't necessarily say AJAX sucks, but I've foudn that Tide does, indeed, do a better job...
