  2. On the other hand... on 'Two Years Later, I Still Miss the Headphone Port' (techcrunch.com) · · Score: 0

...I'm the complete opposite. I see a headphone jack and feel as if I'm stuck in a time warp. I have managed to eliminate several patch-cords from my life, thanks to Bluetooth and other tech, but whenever some outdated device with an analogue plug on it shows up on my desk and I need to dig through a box of yesterday's tech to find a converter that was probably built and/or designed a decade (or more) ago.

No, I don't miss that silly headphone jack at all. Charging my headphones is a very minimal amount of hassle compared to having a freakin' tether attaching me to a device.

For tax and draft reasons alone you should not burden your children with U.S. citizenship. If, as adults, they really want to move to the U.S. they may be able to find a corporate sponsor, or, if they are rich enough, sponsor themselves.

It just isn't worth it IMHO, and I'm a naturalized U.S. citizen.

We cut the cord 3 years ago November 1st. The only think I really miss is college football - but hey - there is a radio for that! And now that I have Sonos, which I can use to pipe TuneIn throughout the house and listen - it's awesome. Netflix is the only content we pay for on a monthly basis, and it'll be another year before I've watched everything on there I want to see.

If your provider subscribes to ESPN3 you can get lots of college and CFL games.

I ditched cable TV more than 10 years ago. Haven't missed one second of it.
