    actually no one cares because you can delete all of apples software and put in alternatives , i barely ever use the quicktime player , mostly vlc or mplayer. the reason is Apple is a systems company , they sell you a complete system, they don't need to lock you into there software

    i know it is hard to believe but many of us mac users are linux users as well, I have 2 power macs running debian as well as my OS X machine

    ok for the last time not all console apps are command line , lots are ncurses based like pine, mc , twin , etc .

    windows 3.1 did not have a tcp/ip stack , you needed a 3rd party one, but im sure it would suck donkey nuts if it did
