I was in a school program that taught us BASIC in 3rd grade. We were all writing 500+ line BASIC programs by the time we were done with it.
Pascal and C came later. It seems like a more natural approach. Though, in those days, Pascal wasn't something to laugh at.
Exactly. Real sucks. Their player is terrible, and their games are even worse. Don't buy it. Those games are the equivelant of soda at a McDonalds - just a money grabbing scheme.
If you look at what I said before, I've already alluded to what you have just said.
I didn't tell you to go to a crack site. I told you to look for the registry keys (or whatever else it is) you need.
You didn't update your hardware - you got a different computer. These are two very different things.
I'm also not a troll. You're on here talking about your experience, and I'm telling you how you could have avoided it by using a little common sense.
You've now called me a) a Real employee, and b) a troll. Don't misdirect the anger of your loss at me.
No I do not work for Real.
And, I'd hardly call what happened to you getting "burned."
You could probably find what you'd need (even if it is against their TOS) just by a simple Google Search.
Sorry about my tone, people start getting like this when they're talking to complete idiots who cannot think on their own, and want everything to be their way.
How did you lose the keys to an installed program if you just moved the HD into another machine?
You're not making any sense there.
It sounds more like you want to copy the games into a new install of a computer, and just happened to have the old drive in the new computer.
This will not work under any copy-protected programs that do not rely on physical media (cdrom or hardware token/dongle). I'm sure Real's TOS made this clear. Why don't you read them before you go trying to subvert the proces.
I don't agree with things like this - but they are what they are. Real is a money-grabbing company. It is your own fault for handing it to them, and expecting a utopian free-software world.
Yes I'm well aware of Ad zapper. I've been running it for quite some time.
And no, I didn't feel like typing out some pedantic karma-whoring google search URL for it. I'd hope that the person asking the topic question is smart enough to do that for him/herself, as they're obviously involved in decision making for an ISP.
And you can redirect known banner ads, popups, etc.
It can't get 100% of popups, as that is higher-level application layer. But you can block html to known "bad" hosts.
The biggest issue is that it may inadvertantly block stuff people want to see (such as the random person that actually wanted to buy the wireless video camera).
WEP isn't that great at all. Use WPA.
Also, my two cents... the Linksys WRV54G wins those hands down. Intel Xscale proc, embedded Linux, VPN endpount. Backed by Cisco. (And supports WPA)
Nobody ever got fired......
Please don't use improper slang words to describe things... Knackered means "tired from sex" in the UK and elsewhere. I'd hesistate to start saying that to describe computer accessories.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.
There's hundreds of products that help you do that. Try Google.
Just a public school. I was in the "gifted" program. The teacher we had was amazing. We had that same teacher for grades 3-5.
The medium of comedy is of no matter. Comedy is comedy; be it written, performed, filmed, or digitized.

We know we're all too stupid to operate Google.
That post is obviously a joke. Great karma whoring.

Why not just copy over the registry keys? If you used the "New Computer Wizard" in Windows, it would have done this automatically for you.
Put some old things on Ebay, and create a completely unmerited ferver on /. to buy them.

FYI: That phenomena is called a "mindpiss."
I already know what it is. I was not asking for an explanation of it here. I was wondering why that explanation isn't in the writeup.
yet there is no explanation as to what the product is? Do editors assume everyone is aware of what this program is?

Why would you stalk your own girlfriend?

I agree with you 100%.
Am I the only one who thinks that Penny Arcade is incredibly stupid?
