the radio/button analogy is stupid. a closer analogy is sony tvs letting u only play movies from the sony label or home movies, not from anyone else. the majority of the rest of your arguments are blind faith. if you own shares, i can understand your defense. otherwise, it makes no sense to religion out of a company.
aside from watching dvds, widescreen is nice for having documents side by side. the lower hieght also lets you actually open the laptop in an airplane when the guy in front of you is fully reclined. these may not be factors for you, but they will obviously appeal to a larger market. you can always get something with a higher res. a wsxga+ screen should be fine for almost any website.
if you happen to be using windows xp, you can use the image resizing powertoy. you can just select a bunch of pictures, right click, and resize. you can change orientation too (i think that's built in) but you lose a little bit of quality since it's not using exif info. i know, shoutouts to microsoft stuff is blasphemous here but their powertoys can be nifty.

itunes prices aren't based on competition, but what the riaa charges. apple doesn't make much on the store, thier money comes from ipod sales. unless the riaa is going to take a smaller cut from a competitor, the competitor isn't going to be able to charge much less than itunes. i believe riaa gets 71/99 per track. not much room to undercut there.
someone needs to tell Gerald Ilukwe, the general manager of Microsoft Nigeria, that his countrymen have been smart enough to swindle millions from people in the states. i guess the only computer training done there is in 419 101.
and he's still one of the richest men in the country? i guess he really does only own one black turtleneck. forget the katrina victims, i'm sending steve jobs some new clothes.
i can also use a laptop instead of an ipod. or a pda. or a pvp. portable can mean something you sling over your back, or it can mean something you stick in your pocket. the latter usually does less and costs more. the price you pay for convenience.
considering it lacks most of the features of a pda, i fail to see how it is a high end one. perhaps you have it confused with the tapwave zodiac. the psp doesn't even have a touch screen. also, the screen on the psp is much better for viewing video than both the ipod and the nintendo.
i don't shutdown my system so that i don't have to wait to use it. but this would let me have instant access and save electricity. i'm sure this will be a major benefit.

would that be the same as using wmc w/o a tuner? i noticed it's an option on some laptops now, even though they are shipping without tuners.

i've heard chris rock say the exact same thing on one of his HBO specials. basically, there's no money in the cure.
oh man, reminds me of that scene from Kingpin after the guy takes a big swig from the bucket "we don't have any cows, we have bulls"
not surprising since the way they produce light is through heat.
horrible idea. it's hard enough sometimes to figure out where the "payload" flew off to. now take away gravity. houston we have a problem.
and what happens when the married guy suggests a 3some involving one of the lesbians and his wife?
they can use ubuntu.
really? i thought it was the other way around. linux creates a hunger for more oos, while people get fed up with windows.

are you refering to oem parts vs knock offs? not quite the same thing. or are you saying motorola gets a kickback when i buy a bodyglove case?
que all the comments stating why this is bad/driven by greed.

and that's assuming ABC gets all of that $1.99.
or get it on bittorrent. no drm either.
