A lazy tornado came through my hometown once and hit the mobile home factory or "trailer plant" and ripped up several "dwellings" at once instead of going all over town looking for them.
I've never used it but I know it can be done with Linux, a couple scsi controllers and other nifty things. Don't know the speed or latency of it though
I run several VMs similtaneously on an AMD64 machine with 1.5GB ram. I found that I couldn't run more than 2-3 VM's similtaneously without loosing responsiveness on one or more of the machines unless I chose deadline as my IO scheduler. With Windows as the host on the same machine I don't have this flexibility and must live with the unresonspive VMs that result from heavy IO.
That was a good book. I recall their being things in that book that I've been unable to find anywhere else.
It seems like MS would have done their significant "rewrite" of SQL server much sooner than 7.0 . 6.5 still used 512b page sizes, devices (agony) and a other triangular wheels. It did leave Sybase behind at that point.
SQL server is one of my favorite Microsoft products. The other two were gorillas.bas, and nibbles.bas.
It has proven helpful for me on a number of occasions over the years as well and I've even made good friends as a result of consulting an IRC channel for help.
If a request for help seems more like a demand instead of general discussion then I ignore it too Linux or not.
Can't speak "Tuttles" in these places and expect help!
But it seems that MySQL has recently been burned by using solutions developed by other parties. .
It seems it would be more beneficial to have control over that solution than subject their customers to the same uncertainty that they're subject to now.
Thought MS bought Sybase at version 6.5. Did they also pay for development before then? I knew that's where MS got SQL server from but didn't know they paid for it's development pre-6.5
The story while obvious to everyone is still a story and will increase it's reader's awareness of the need for physical activities in their own lives.
So, instead of eating pizza and drinking coke while doing the "practice abstract semantic concepts " thing combining it with a long walk, jog, or bike ride may be a good habbit to get into.
Not to get into the discussions that everyone else is getting themselves into. .
At $100 it isn't "CHEAP" in a 3rd world country and I think I can forsee it being stolen if not violently. I think it's a great idea to provide kids in developing areas with educational tools but not sure why it costs $100.
Why not lower the costs and provide lower resolution LCDS, place a solar panel behind the display for charging (doesn't it already have a hand-crank generator?, if so ignore that last bit) and let it receive text data at low speeds via long range radio.
I think it's a great idea though. And it's target isn't the 19yr old who is hiv positive but rather the 12yr old who hasn't gone to war and can read enough to figure out how to read "poking "this" "there" will kill you"
A guy on the street handing out condoms. Great. Something to fill with rancid water and throw at other people for fun. Educating a people with ultra low cost text based devices. hmm. .
I bet Sally Struthers would be glad to get on TV and beg us all to buy someone a $50 computer.
You know, if the Tuttles City Manager used Lotus Notes to send his authoritative PRO-FBI emails I doubt we would have ever heard about it. An email sent entirely in Wingdings isn't nearly as amusing as the one we've all enjoyed reading.
Because I use email so extensively in the workplace I will actively refuse employment at a firm that uses Lotus Notes. It is the most horrendous application I've ever had to use and in my opinion it gives IBM a black eye to those that have to use it. Fortunately for IBM the CIOs, CTOs, C* don't use email and don't have a problem purchasing the triangular wheel that is Lotus Notes.
The simplest of things just do not work in Lotus Notes's email client. And their flat file "databases" aren't too impressive either. If only they put %005 percent of that $300M into making the user experience JUST tolerable.
You should probably contact the FBI immediately. This "Trustix" is preventing you from seeing your web site and is indicative of malicious activities having taken place.
Not sure if the player will boot OS' that are based on physical disks but VMWARE server does. You can download and install VMWARE Server for free. It will allow you to choose an existing physical drive to boot from.
If the partition you're running debian from is on the same physical drive as the win98 partition then it probably wouldn't work. You could create a disk image of that drive but you don't have anywhere to store it. You would also have to deal with 98's booting on a machine(the vm) that is significantly different from the one that it currently boots from (drivers etc)
You could just replace the existing win98 partition with an ext partition that's used to store a vm disk file of 98.
The "fruity group" was a SouthPark reference. The parent said "You go to hell, you go to hell and you die" which is a line commonly used by Mr/Ms Garrison of SouthPark. Had no bearing with any other content of the post. But thanks for my very first "Troll" score!
Network Television. It's not just for breakfast anymore.
Now. . if only we had the computing power to package a cool computer generated animation with your new tune.
Surely computers of the 80's wouldn't have handled such a task. They had enough trouble keeping the candles in their Candle Generated Array monitors lit.
Stumbled onto this google video while I was "working" one day.

Now that's efficiency!

I thought it was just free with purchase of any pringle like potatoe chips?

ok, So, someone has compiled the thing.. Where can I find the torrent?
Seriously though, where can the complete thing be obtained from? I want to tile my pool with the DVDs and call it Jeremy.
VPN to somewhere else.
Change route for oscar domain name or whatever the given IM client communicates with.
Route IM over your VPN connection.
I wouldn't use their service anyway given the extreme shittyness of banning IM.
I was a little concerned since Walmart's other DIY services are a bit too chatty for me.
What do I care about "Unexpected item in bagging area" and "Please wait for assistance."

I just ran ouf of beer. Very tragic.

Did they learn from Microsoft? Why can't they put together their own solutions?
But just the other day I was able to get past a kernel panick by promising to hand over the leftovers.
So what host name will we be telnetting to to receive the animated ansi text video?

It's ok. . he's just been brainwashed by some fruity group. Don't get too excited Ms. Garrison.
You forgot. . .

- Providing BIG GOVERNMENT with the aforementioned documents.
