It may appear that Apple has updated its update. I just d/l the newer version, and the MiniStore did not appear. Had I wanted to access the store, I would select an option up in the "Edit" menu. Can this be confirmed by anyone else?
The transmission is still vulnerable. Until a truly secure solution for encryption is developed, sensitive information will still have the capability of interception. At least in the way of one-time passwords, we're still relatively safe from double-fronted SSL/TLS _and_ SMS attack/interception. The self-destructing password would be useful in this facet of password security.
Remember the whitehouse dot com/dot org debacle way back when? I'm not gonna link it here due to decency and possible "spammer" labels, but I don't think a green internet user is gonna mistake whitehouse dot gov with whitehouse dot x-x-x. El Presidente could just purchase WHdotcom and offer a redirect.
I'm assuming you all have seen this [www.howstuffworks.com] already, but may I use it now as a point in the discussion at hand? Would it now be considered viral marketing on Lucasfilm's part to place a lightsaber how-to in an otherwise factually sound encyclopediac (sp?) site, or yet just another clever application of geek humor? Should our feelings on this Wiki entry == feelings about the HSW article?
--btw, I am a StarWars fan, and would love to get my hands on some Diatium power cells if given the chance!
I don't want to start a holy war here, but what is the deal with you Mac fanatics? I've been sitting here at my freelance gig in front of a Mac (a 8600/300 w/64 Megs of RAM) for about 20 minutes now while it attempts to derive some simple HTML from a 17MB Word file in Dreamweaver MX. 20 minutes. At home, on my Pentium Pro 200 running NT 4, which by all standards should be a lot slower than this Mac, the same operation would take about 2 minutes. If that. Try resetting your DW preferences to "default" and convert again. Tables and everything..
I remember when we first implemented Nagios. My email system treated it as spam, I got about 16 emails an hour. Boy, was that fun! (university intern at the time, go easy on me)
Well, there is a difference between bending over backwards for a customer, and bending over FORWARDS... Just some food for thought before you give that full refund back;)
