Not all new computers come with floppy readers anymore, so I guess distributing those games on CD's instead makes sense. I know my computer didn't come with one. And besides, CD's are really cheap these days, no?
Check out http://digitalmars.com/d, it's a C#/Java/C++ like language that is compiled to native code. The official compiler runs on Windows and Linux, but it's not open source. The frontend is, however. There is also the GNU D Compiler, which runs on a few more platforms and is 100% Free. It's a really nice language, you'll like it.
if any one is expected to ever use it it needs to clone Outlook in the way the folders are displayed and the current 'it's close enough, it's good enough' just doesn't cut it in an environment filled with users who only know Outlook
That happened to me twice, I mailed their support and I got a reply back the next day. I don't know what you did wrong, but to me their support is excellent.
And Lost! Usually, I watch Lost on TV but since TV4 decided to not send the (two?) last episodes of Lost I decided to download them instead. I couldn't wait until October or something.
Seeing as trackers don't actually have any copyrighted information on them... how can they be illegal? Sure they are illegal in the US due to the DMCA, but here in Sweden there is no DMCA.
I used to use Debian on my laptop, but later switched to Ubuntu. Why?
It supports more hardware out-of-the-box, and it has newer GNOME packages than Debian. Things that I had to install in Debian (the touchpad, etc) were already installed.
I wouldn't use Ubuntu on a server though, everything I can do in Ubuntu I can do in Debian. Installing a Debian desktop is just more hassle than installing Ubuntu.

It wouldn't need to have macro support. It could be a "portable" openoffice, where you just need to edit an document or spreadsheet then save it quickly, then download it when you come back home and work on it in openoffice.
I don't think Google could compete with a web-based office suite although I am sure there will be web-based office applications... (not as replacements though)
I don't like the new icons at all, the old ones were a lot better. Does someone else agree with me here and have a fix available?
"oh god"

Is this supposed to be funny? It's not fun at all.

I've successfully used GSX in XP. It doesn't even tell you that your OS is unsupported when you install it.
I don't know specifically about 1.5, but there's one thing I know for sure: ReactOS is NOT ready for the average person.
I think Firefox runs quite well in ReactOS actually. I've seen screenshots of it running.
I'm running IE6 in Wine at the moment, you should try it aswell if you already haven't.
I doubt IE7 will run in ReactOS, but feel free to try.
I think you can run Linux in QEMU under ReactOS, if that counts.
What is wrong with kernel headers? It's MUCH easier to compile drivers using them compared to using binary drivers!
I'll test this:
Mods: Do NOT mod this insightful! (or else)
Anyone got a torrent for that zip which is now removed?
Charging? Why would they charge for it? They make their money on advertising, which seems to work.
But with IRC you can't save files or edit the already added parts.
A true "multi-player" notepad would be Gobby, which is quite cool!
Revenue?
