Well, as far as I can remember(it's been a few years since I busted it or the SNES out), you just talk to them in various towns. Gotta be careful though because sometimes when you talk to someone, if they're not happy with you, they'll attack. But typically they'll offer to join you. The demon(Lejes?) seems to have the toughest time finding someone to ally with, while in my opinion the lady elf mage has the easiest. Of course, I could be making that all up from a foggy memory, but I think you just have to talk to them(I think you get your first ally in like the 3rd town maybe?).
I must disagree with you my friend. I loved the 7th Saga. Maybe it's blurred nostalgia swaying my opinion, but I loved it. The fact that you could play the different characters was great(although admittedly the story changed little). Also the fact who you were swayed who would you join you, and if you ditched someone for someone else it hurt your chances of getting them back. Again, it's been awhile, but back in the day I loved it!
I mean right now, I'm sitting here reading slashdot instead of writing a paper that's due tomorrow. That's a really bad idea. But sacrificing what literally powers our lifestyle and existence as we know it is doubtlessly a whole lot worse.
If I learned anything in college, it's that I do my best work when my back is against the wall and deadlines are looming. I am sure many others are the same way. No doubt when/if it happens it will be scary for awhile, but I'm confident we'll be fine.
Much like buying a child a shoe that is a half size bigger, the PS3 will grow into itself. There's no such thing as "too much" on a gaming console. The more you can do with it, the better.
Yeah, but the problem with that is that by the time the kid grows into that shoe, it is old, outdated, and generally a piece of junk due to heavy use.
Don't know how much you're willing to spend, but you could go the route I just went. Bought a Jetway GT Dual board...supports both socket 754(only has 2 single channel DDR) and 939(4 dual channel ddr). It has 1 16x PCI-e. Good option if you already have a 754 and want to upgrade to 939 in the future(which I'll do when socket M is released and 939s drop). For $85 it's not too bad of a deal.
So relax and enjoy the warmth while it lasts...
I know I will be today with temperatures over 20F above normal with the high temp expected to be around 60F in the Reading, Pennsylvania area:)
I hear ya! I'll be basking in the warmth up near Scranton, PA today...though I did have a nasty run-in with an icy road on top of Montage Mntn. coming to work today...
Not only do I love the show(as you could've guessed from my first post since it's Michael's catch phrase), but I also live in Scranton which helps me like it even more(even more inside jokes on the show if you know Scranton)!
COMPLETELY agree with you. I beta tested the game and basically had the same observations. Graphics definitely are great though. But as we all know, it's all about the gameplay. Love your sig btw
Well if you're torn between the 2 and are considering a DS anyways, just get that since it plays both DS and GBA games. That's what I have and I love it. Own probably twice as many GBA games as DS(all my gba are RPGs).
Alex Trebek: Yeah, it was a trick question, Mr. Connery. Why don't you pick a category?
Sean Connery: I've got to ask you about the Penis Mightier.
Alex Trebek: What? No. No, no, that is The Pen is Mightier.
Sean Connery: Gussy it up however you want, Trebek. What matters is does it work? Will it really mighty my penis, man?
Alex Trebek: It's not a product, Mr. Connery.
Sean Connery: Because I've ordered devices like that before - wasted a pretty penny, I don't mind telling you. And if The Penis Mightier works, I'll order a dozen.
Alex Trebek: It's not a Penis Mightier, Mr. Connery. There's no such thing!
Nicholas Cage: Wait, wait, wait.. are you selling Penis Mightiers?
Alex Trebek: No! No, I'm not.
Sean Connery: Well, you're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek!
You beat me to it. I was getting ready to post that as a reply!

Well I'm not really wasting it. I still log in and get about 30-45 minutes every day or 2. I wouldn't let it just go to waste. I just can't afford(or justify for that matter) spending hours on end on each night testing.

No if you spend any time on the DDO forums you will quickly see that while it is action driven it is more of an RPG than any other MMO out to date. They have a few annoying changes to the rules but from everything my friends in alpha are saying it is the closest thing to Pen and Paper to date.
Agreed. I'm in the Alpha and it's pretty pen and paper like. I never got into the pen and paper game, but even without PvP it's still pretty fun. Too bad I don't have time to play it anymore.
You can transfer from California University (of Pennsylvania) to Indiana University (of Pennsylvania) and never leave the state of Pennsylvania.
That's because us Pennsylvanian's rule! I'd say 1/4 to half of my graduating high school class went to IUP(not me though, thank God). But then again, what does my town know? They worship a groundhog every February 2nd.
Oh well I conceede the point, ABS isn't as ubiquitous as I had assumed. It's still a good feature and I would like to see the car manufacturers remove power windows/locks on the base line model and replace it with ABS to set the models apart.
I would prefer PW/PL/ABS on all cars. Can't do w/o my power windows. I'm a lazy bastard!
All all but the purest "economy cars" have ABS standard. And even cars like the kia rio (~$11k) have it as an option. Furthermore dealers won't order a car without ABS because its a good option, and options pad the dealers profit margin. In order to get a car without ABS 90% of the time you would have to order it. Its unlikely that you could go to any dealer and pick up a new car without ABS.
I previously owned a 2004 Mazda3 S. While not an *expensive* car, it wasn't cheap either, coming in at around 17k-18k. It didn't have ABS standard. The S was the top of the line trim and it didn't come with ABS. There are plenty of cars that ABS isn't standard on these days.
What if he's in a situation like me where in the winter the roads you drive to work typically have 3-5" of snow on them and you work on top of a mountain(right next to a ski resort)?
While I agree that some people don't need an SUV, there are just as many who do. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to telecommute when the weather is bad, and they can't afford to take a vacation day(may not have any). I do, however, feel that the sale of them should be restricted by region(e.g. to places that receive x inches of snow on average per year) or for certain circumstances(work trucks).
It's a "Jump To Conclusions" mat. It has different conclusions....that you....jump to!

Wow, that sounds exactly like part of a skit my team did during a presentation last week at work! Needless to say, it was a humorous skit.

I beg to differ. It seems like every game of Monopoly I play takes forever.
You certainly don't need an SUV for 3-4 people.
