Im only nineteen and I remember transformers. I have no idea but I do have vague memories of watching the original season which is quite scary because well I was really young back then. The show I remember watching the most was Beast Machines. It was on at 6:00AM in addition to DBZ and Pokemon on the WB

Slashdot can now link to past duplications. It's really quite funny because I scrolled down and they linked directly back to the same story. In related news the same story we will now provide the same story slightly edited..
http://www.osti.gov/accomplishments/videogame.html Pretty interesting bit of history. In fact it's really interesting as to how close the United States actually came close to owning the patent on video games.
For a second I was going to point you in Oracle's direction. Then I actually read the freaking article. Nothing like trading someone for four rounds of golf, olympic highlights, and a stupid bunny.
Second Life is too commercialized. People say that Linden Labs encourages users to make money from selling their own creations, and that's not inherently a bad thing, but it means there's a lot of in-game advertising all over the place, and LLabs doesn't really help because the in-game "classifieds" are essentially pay-for-top-rank deals. Another symptom of this: All of Top N Most-Popular spots in the game get their popularity by paying people to sit around there in specially constructed chairs doing nothing to boost their popularity. They then put special advertising all over the place to make their money. There are just way, way too many ads, they're everywhere, and they're pretty gaudy
So what you are saying is that Second Life is just like Real life??
Im staring at the neutrality symbols and I looked at the lion and wondered what it was holding in it's hand. My first thought was sword but then what is that doing there. Can someone please answer this question??
I was actually quite amazed at how well some of the materials actually worked that were used during the Apollo mission. My boss said that a this tape that I was using was actually used on the lander. It is called kapton tape. I stared at it and then realzed how easy it would be for someone to think that it's utterly useless. Anyone not in my position (consistently chucking copious amounts of it into UV chambers without it degrading for a week) would think of it being stupid yellow tape.
For people who think I'm making it up:
http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a12 /a12.landmovie.html That yellow stuff is the tape I use. Then again the freaking moon hoax idiots think the lunder lander was held together by this stuff.
In fact I plan on getting into robotics. Everyone in my family including myself assumes there is absolutely no money in this area of engineering and quite frankly I don't care. I just want to build something cool. I don't care about material possessions or in the case I do buy a lot of items, it will be on lathes, mills, and other devices.
There was a program about the Orleans aftermath over here in the UK (it was an edition of 'Horizon' on the BBC), which showed not only that the levvies had only been built for a smaller scale hurricane (not surprisingly...), but also that the designers/builders hadn't taken into account the clay-like consistency of the soil they were being laid into and so they literally just got ripped straight out of the ground.
There is one thing about your post that just makes the whole topic much more annoying. Katrina was a level three hurricane by the time it could do any damage. The levees were rated for a level three hurricane. Thus they should not have been breached. Unfortunately, we are talking about engineers here and they usually have to argue about everything.
They sure as hell know how to build stuff that survives being run over with a car let alone a hammer. Plus they will be so stylish everyone will be getting into high speed chases just to have one on their car. http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/3
Who said anything about unusual? For that matter, who said anything about an arrowhead? Tutankhamen was believed to have died from a blow to the head which led to partial paralysis, hence the walking sticks, but now we found scraps of gold in the knee which look like decorations from armor, suggesting he healed over a wound from presumably a sword which gave way to infection which killed him.
Come on be honest. I know you didn't. If you can't find the refrence to the arrow well your can't read. http://www.spokesmanreview.com/tools/story_pf.asp? ID=58062 This article actually mentions the walking sticks as being unusually high but then again they were a sign of Egyptian nobility.
Indeed, about 130 walking sticks found among King Tut's fabulous treasure would support the theory he may have had trouble with walking during the last days of his life.
Errrr... You think???? Why did anyone in their right minds find this unusual?? I can only think of the one reason and that there was 130 of everything in the tomb. Also, how hard is it to find an arrorhead in a body??
Common sense, people. Traffic, starvation (if you're really poor) or disease might kill you. If you're 'lucky', a lightning strike, plane crash or falling coconut (yes, they kill more people than sharks!) might do it. Looking at how likely it is, mr. Bin Laden & friends are near the bottom of the list. So why is so much effort wasted on that? I'll take some crime and the occasional bombing instead, thank you.
Ummm... Im assuming your thinking of the statistic that falling cocunuts kill 150 people each year. Guess what. It's fake. No one actually keeps track of how many people are killed by falling cocunuts.
Why does everyone keep assuming terrorists are stupid? Attacks don't succeed through stupidity, they succeed through ingenuity. Look at the source, find a hole, "fix" the software, detonate a WMD...
Yeah some terrorists are stupid. I remember recently in the news about how someone got caught trying to make a black cumin bomb. His cover story for buying so much spices: Im making cookies. It's these type of people that are easy to catch.
Why bother with clothes? We've almost got eInk, which takes a lower current to change state than would cause any injury (though it would be perceptible). Instead of having white and black sides, have fleshtone and not fleshtone, and inject it into the skin.
Im a bit creeped out. I was reading a story in Asimov's that had a similar technology that you are describing. What's even weirder is that the company I work at is eInk. Also, I personally can attest to the fact that it does not hurt at all with the voltage levels being used.

Sell the house at $400 million dollars. Pay the taxes and then run away never to be seen again.
