I remember, I used to hear the tv when i was a kid. I forgot all about it.... Seems going to all those raves wasn't all detrimental. (Of course, I am a raving, drug addicted loon, but that is a whole other article.)
Sure, but if you are after something distinctive, rather than something fancy, your are already set. And manufactures usually vary the ringtones available on each phone, so this is not a problem.
Think about it for a second.
How would anybody know that the whole of the US was revolting. Is everybody connected to everybody else. There is such a control on all outlets and communication, that this would never happen, and nobody would find out about it.
The army would simply be told that there is a riot downtown, go sort them out. Or that a terrorist attack was in progress.
Just because you can do these things now, doesn't mean that you will not be able to do them in the future. The whole point of the article, is that the web is being taken over by companies, and they have no reason to let you keep using the net for whatever you want. It will become like television, where you can basically watch stuff or buy stuff.
Some people stick there heads in the sands until it is too late. Other like to see trends, try to predict where things are going, and maybe stop bad things from happening. You are the former.
This is a good point, but to be fair how many choices have you made with respect to those around you? Did it stop you from buying a car, for instance? Or travelling in a plane?? Thi opinion of your can be extended, too all things. I have had my neighbours complain about the TV at 9pm?? And it wasn't that loud.
When you bring up something like this, where does the madness stop??
Come on, this is a puff piece about the ipod. The exact same thing could be done on a number of devices, including mobile phones, PDAs, notebooks all that cost less than the 1000s of dollars quoted in the article.
It is not even using the ipod in a way different to how it is supposed to be used, except for the fact that medical images are being stored rather than other images.
So they managed to change their program to store files on the ipod, as well as pictures that the ipod could view? Which would have been really hard to do.
Of course this counter should only display INDETERMINATE.
In fact all counters can produce errors of this sort, so they should all display INDETERMINATE.
As a matter of fact, every counter in the entire world could have the same sort of errors, even clocks are not 100% correct, so every counter of any sort should simply display INDETERMINATE.
I mean if you can't guarantee 100% accuracy, then there is not point in even attempting to measure anything.
You should feel happy, you have made the world a better place.
(accidently posted this to someone who wasn't a moron)

Maybe the only ones who really buy it first are the other phone companies - so they see what they need to do to improve their own models. This would make sense, and a reasonable reason for having a high starting price.
Well, I never would have thought it would be one of the smaller banks - but then again, the big ones are such monoliths, it would take them forever to implement something this clever.
Wow I feel sorry for you mac people. On our Windows Systems there is a scrollbar, so anything we really don't like we can just scroll past it. I have to see, this lack of functionality makes me even less interested in adopting a mac.
Using fancy statistics words (causal and correlate) to try to make your very simple point sound better, comes of a little stupid.
Your point is perfectly reasonable explanation for why they use macs - but on the other hand, you can't discount a small amount of bias... which is to be honest, all there really is. But this can be all it takes.
Personally, I hate macs, (use one at work occasionally and can see their benefit for non-tech people) and love using PCs, partly because I am a tech person, and because I have used them my whole life. Yet, I am biased against PCs for a number of reasons, and I root for Apple. So I welcome the bias, but don't run around pretending it ain't there.
Mate, he is probably complaining about your garden on some other website. Don't judge us by one man!
Population control?
Are you suggesting they will send all the people with AIDS of to the moon perhaps??
Should have the desired effect....

Yeah, if only data wasn't some physical quality, and you could copy it to a disk... that would be great!
Sure, but if you are after something distinctive, rather than something fancy, your are already set. And manufactures usually vary the ringtones available on each phone, so this is not a problem.
Come on, if you can't change your alert from the default ringtone, you aren't really the market they are looking for.
Most phones come with at least 20 different ringtones, for the last 5 years. It can't be that hard.

Sun tried selling CPU power recently, with no takers.
You have never worked with a bunch of Doctors, have you? Never met a more small minded, politicaly motivated bunch of people...
Hey, the kids at my Primary school called, they want their joke back.

Australia actually...
My copy is 24 seconds away from downloaded ;)
Tempting fate, hey?
That is not a fair way to decide on the term. Ask 5 people what a Subdural hematoma is, and will probably get 5 blank looks.... what does that prove??
I think the term "Hard Sci-Fi" is perfectly acceptable amoung those in the know. Why consider those who don't???
Thanks for playing.
Wow, and since you are the only person who uses the Internet, I really can't see how Google can make any money at all.

Somebody is in love with the Ipod.
Good point.

Yeah, but from October to September, Apache's share went from 69.89% to 69.15% (-0.74%).
Makes you think, doesn't it?
