Just the political elites doing what they do irrespective of the skill set of people they are employing. People keep banging on about corruption in some third world nation when corruption is well and truly alive in your back yard.
I gave up when I started realising the Olympics stopped being about sportsmanship and your average sports person and all about who has the best genetic freaks and the smartest drugs and the best corporate sponsor. For example they now know that you can give enhancement drugs to an athlete withdraw them months even years before the event and the athlete will still retain some of the advantage of taking the drugs. So when you hear of past drug cheats getting back into the Olympics with times that are almost the same as when they were a drug cheat, well now you know why.
Also this is a good lesson for those using cloud storage, have more than one and mirror all your personal files across both and "with different passwords" . If one cloud provider does lose all your data you have a fall back.
I think it is about time we all agreed the ever growing password and 2 level checking even with a mobile is verging on becoming a complete fail. What we need is an open security standard that not only securely transmits data but allows a user to use their web services "without a password". Im thinking some type of smart dongle with a rotating 2048 bit key with a fingerprint reader built in that can scan up to 10 finger prints (users can have a multi fingerprint login sequence). The dongle should work with mobiles and other PC related devices and even door locks. This way it removes the security key layer away from the PC and the telco networks and isolates the device from open Internet access (device is a 2 part connection when plugged in in that the device itself never electrically connects only the io part does)
From experience with dealing with chinese OEM's and the spy v spy nature of china the code could have been added by a chinese spy working as an employee. We have had reports from our chinese based factories of government officials asking for code to be tampered with but usually not on the export items but on the local stuff. So yes if you are buying consumer electronics made for the chinese mainland market with a english language update you may find the device has 2-3 layers of back doors built in.
you know whats funny, when I was looking after the house never did the female in the relationship offer to pay me or financially reimburse me for my time.
I agree, a house husband/wife/partner should have some type of financial trust just in case everything goes south (considering 60-80% of relationships fail that's to be expected).
I (yes I as in male) have been in a relationship were I did the housework cooking etc and it didn't bother me. The biggest issue is house work takes up 2-3 hours of your day so you get bored unless you have a hobby (project) to fill the rest of the day.
As a foreigner who lives outside of china and USA it is far easier to travel around China now than the USA. Also the chances of getting shot at while taking in the views are next to zero in china compared to the USA.
yes but that's to check the welds to see if they are cracked so they can get certified. We are talking about penetrating a steel pipe not just looking a few mm down into a weld.
I have watched a few companies take up the automation mantle even the food industry. The issue I notice with robots in the food industry though is maintenance and quality control. Im betting within 6-12 months the sauce spreading robot wont be properly maintained to save money and it starts spitting out pizza's with sauce that looks more like a Picasso abstract painting than a even coating. The human workers wont give a stuff as they are not paid enough to do so thus the quality of the product goes to hell. This is the issue with robots, unlike humans they suck at maintaining their tools and cant adapt or repair what they have thus things go astray.
I often wonder why they bother defacing servers, especially when most admins have a roll back option that's only a few clicks away. I have seen hackers spend hours defacing game servers etc then within minutes the admin flushed the VM and rolls it back and all that work is like smoke.
but in the future you will have cars that don't need oil (that's even if you own a car) and genetically modified grass that never grows above a set height.
This does raise another issue, with governments all over the world cutting corporate tax, at the same time the exact same companies are replacing people with robots with no income tax. You have to wonder how governments are going to fill this massive hole in their budget. I suspect governments will have to do as the EU and create some weird laws ie electronic persons so they can enforce a new type of income tax on the robots and their owners. I think in the next 50 years there are going to be some pretty big social problems with 20-40% of the worlds population having (worse in affluent nations) having nothing to do thanks to automation. Not everyone can be a lawyer or engineer and even if you did fix that education problem there wont be enough projects to employ them all. You will end up with government agencies putting an income tax on robots and using that money to pay the unemployed a survival income.
I would say a very small percentage of music uploaded illegally stays up as google has tools to fingerprint songs and remove them. Also many of the so called illegal flags are also wrong in that the music being played although similar to another artists is neither performed or written or owned by the artists/music company complaining. I have had a indie writer/artists post a few of his songs only to have youtube remove them because some record companies copyright bot stuffed up. The problem is artists are combining the false copyright infringement reports with the removed uploads to make it look as though youtube has lots of illegal uploads that stay up when the reality is far different. It is about time artists learn the thinning of the numbers has nothing to do with piracy but the fact "there are now too many people producing music". There are now hundreds of really good indie bands virtually giving away albums just so they can some public interest. Gone are the days of huge studios and millions in recording equipment, now for a few thousand you can build a top shelf recording studio in your basement and produce songs for a fraction of a penny in the dollar based on 10,000 unit sales at $1.99 per album.
It has, various military forces have been using balloons for communications since 1916. A balloon is an easy way of broadcasting over the horizon/hills.
The direction-finding system, which relied on very sensitive receivers, was developed by Captain Henry Joseph 'HJ' Round (1881-1966) of British Military Intelligence, on secondment from the Marconi Company, where he had worked since 1902. Round – later also an IEE member – was a pioneer of the use of electronics. By 1916 he had developed a wireless set weighing 57lb, which was light enough for observation balloons on the Western Front for intelligence gathering
When I look at the US presidential candidates I can help but think of the South Park episode where they had to choose between a douche and a shit sandwich.
I always thought Tesla was asking for a lawsuit by using the term "autopilot", persoanlly i think they should have called it "driver assist".

close but you still need a password and the USB device still has no fingerprint scanner.

if you have a black credit card technically your limit is in the millions.

Who scrubs toilets sheesh, just throw some bleach around the rim and leave it for an hour, come back flush. wow took all off 2 min to do.

technically an electric motor doesn't need a transmission especially if you build the motor into the wheel drive assembly.

Yes it is a bit dark as humour goes but you have to wonder as it was the first thing that popped into me head when I read how he got killed.

No you should create a new "meme" were the term citigroup means "you are getting seriously screwed".
Man I'm getting so citigrouped since I updated to windows 10.
