You can't seriously be planning to vote for any of them, are you?
The lesser of two evils argument is dead. You're no longer controlling the country anyways, your waisting your time participating. This country needs a rollback and admitting success to any party at this point isn't helping anything.
If you wanna help, just keep trying to learn the truth.
It's funny you should bring this up in this manner. I've never seen a group of male IT's keep a female IT out. Quite the opposite, actually.
I'm that way myself, I'd rather help them than alienate them. Well, unless they are manipulating me... Thats another point.
First, the name of the movie is
'Snakes On a Plane'. It has to be a comedy.
Secondly, all the flash animations I've seen of this movie have been stills terribly modified to render motion.
Thirdly, if not completely the point, it has Samuel L Jackson dressed in a blue hawaiin shirt. Samuel Jackson....... Blue Hawaiin shirt....... With a gun..........
The shirt looks good, but, its Samuel Jackson.
Sure you are making an observation, but what could happen over an argument like this is astounding.
If you'd like, I'm sure the record store in conjunction with the recording label would be more than happy to keep a database of all your purchases. Of course, on this database, would be your personal information. Purchases, phone number, residence, number of people in your household, what your interests are, email addresses so on and so forth. They are making enough excuses without our helping.
If I purchase it, and tell them its mine, they will back off.
Or pay the consequences.

Sorry, it took so long for me to respond.
1. My neighbors aren't smart enough to 'hack' my computer, for one thing. You shouldn't use the word 'hacking' anyways. Real hackers don't do things like look at your important files. For the type of person you are refering to, you should use the term 'Luser' or just plain 'Loser' because more often than not they don't even write their own software. Furthermore, there isn't anything that I do that I care about others knowing.
2. There is a legal precedent set concerning other people using someone elses network to do malicious acts. That is, I won't be held accountable. Soon, the government will have free access points for wireless in towns around here. They certainly aren't going to be held accountable are they?
I do pay attention to my logs. If someone steps outside of my bounds there might be future restrictions. Until then, I treat information the way it should be treated, free.

Today, more than ever, its clear that there is a huge rift forming between corporate and private sectors in both communications and expectations in the computing world.
As an individual, I have no problems sharing my wireless with anyone who is around my house. I live in town, and I have my transmitter at full power. As long as it doesn't involve my own computers, I don't even care what they are doing.
Wifi has to many limitations. I think another form of networking needs to be developed that will eliminate corporate and big business from the best hope of mankind. There needs to be another Internet.
Opensource = freedom. Freedom powers the world.
Is an absolute, outradgeous, contradiction of terms. Hacking has always been ethical. I can't believe people are letting the use of terms such as these go by. I'm sorry to go outside the context of this post but I just have to say what I mean to say.
Real Hackers are good people, and they build things.
I thought I was in love. But then I thought, she's gottuh be cool, but what fun is it to run around screwing stuff up all the time. I mean, real hackers build things.
Why are we biting the hand that feeds us. Sure, AMD is a business. It needs to profit. But which chip maker actually CARES about computing? Who brought us dual core. Check that, REAL dual core? I've got Pentium machines, who doesn't, but my love is AMD.
Linux/AMD, all the way. FTPTB.... period
actually, being quite serious about who you recieve email from, and using web based mail instead of client email reduces your risks tremendously.
That, and I've never been fooled by phishers.
A lot of care and some luck yes:D
I never have used it. All it ever did was slow down my machine, and warn me with lockups. It got removed immediately. My whole computing life, I haven't used them. I've never gotten viruses either.
Oh man, this is bringing tear to my eye (I have more than one, don't worry). I don't like Intel or Windoze, but you are right. ATI don't like Linux very well. But it sure is nice on Windoze. I like the card's performance, and with the exception of Diamond Stealth I had years ago, I've always had ATI on my own machines. I thought it would be really cool to have ATI and AMD together but you're probably right. Next machine I build will have Nv and AMD.
America is stuck in a perpetual downward spiral. This is because everyone is convinced there is nothing they can do about it. And most don't want to.
America had its moment, its time to move on. The next frontier. We the workers sit around because we are tired, and listen to the next egomaniac that decides he really is worth a triple figure income while he does nothing sitting at the helm of a company that is trying to realize 300 percent profits. It would have been beneficial if someone would have written some protection into the constitution for the little people.
In the meantime, wanna feel better? Try listening to some Prodigy.
How these guys complain about piracy. Man, are you kidding? They have enough money to take care of their business, write lawsuites against piracy, and still pay actors/actress/musicians millions of dollars to be wierd. I think they are doing just fine. Do you think if they can fight piracy and win, they will reduce prices? Hehehe. For a lot of education, try this http://www.eff.org/
I like the information that Alex Jones digs up. I'm not in on the conspiracy theory (him and his collegues are nuts about it) but its a great place to research the way that the American bureacracy is changing and how there is an extremely high level of potential for abuse of our future. Well, besides whats already going on:D
While the rest of your post seems ilrelavant (I understand you were trying to illustrate a point) You can talk all you like about standing up to tyranny, but its all blow until you do something.

Copyright protection is dangerous. You are ignorant if you can't recognize the potential for abuse. There is a link at the bottom that will help you tremendously, and probably change your mind.
While I do agree with you about pirated videos or music (because I don't really care that much about them anyways, and 20 dollars doesn't hurt) I don't agree with Hollywood or the government being able to put hardware restrictions and regulations in my computer which is what WILL happen. Just as much as you have no right to be in my computer, neither does the government.
What you will find is this new 'anti piracy' czar will simply find that stripping computers of their usefullness will be the best resort. That will leave YOU wondering what that dialogue box means when it says, "Looking up authorization." when you want to play your own home movies.
Software makers will then also be able to patent not just code (which is fine) but ideas and use. What does that mean? Suppose a big company makes a nifty widget on your computer, but some kid finds a better way of doing it and has written his own code. If he tries to market it, BAM, copyright infringement.
This is BIG BUSINESS all the way.

Although I'm not sure of the quality of the engineers at Nasa, I can tell you this.
I agree with your assertion about blaming policy makers. I will blame them right now. BLAME BLAME BLAME:D
Doesn't seem like there is anyplace that can't reach with their slimey tenticles.
With a name like yours, how can you say anything constructive?
Real engineers? ANYONE can practice bad politics. Even engineers. Real engineers don't care squat about politics. They put it on the last burner and concentrate on what really matters. Thats because they are 'Hackers', 'the ultimate geek', a term that has lost its definition thanks to the media and morons.
What we've lost in America is the drive to better ourselves and the human race without trying to make a million dollars at it. (at least most of us)
Look how many enthusiasts write free OS's and terrific software. I've found in my own travels that people who 'CAN' offer things free or next to free have much better offerings than the profitable equivilant. Their reason for offering is because it gives them a chance to gain experience and knowledge. Obviously, THE reward for us geeks (that and sometimes a peck on the cheek).
NASA has been senior staffed for decades by ex hippies that want to show the world how smart they are. Whoopie. Sure, it appears they enjoy success of their hard work but they really aren't in it for knowledge, adventure, exploration, or even for helping their fellow man.
Frankly, I'd gladly see Nasa's tek rolled back if it got a better crew!!
We've been pitching rocks onto the shore of our ultimate destiny for years when we could have been 'dropping anchor' at the moon and mars a long time ago.
They are holding us back, along with politicians and our educational system. What are they keeping us on this planet for, so they can maintain control?
Eh, this subject exposes my angst:D There is a universe of possibility waiting just outside the atmosphere but here we are.
Hehehe. Yep. I bet its comforting for them to know that they are WAY ahead of the rest of the world in technology:D.
We could only be so lucky:D
What does make me angry though, is the fact that I really could use a laptop, but these people have the prices driven up to ridiculous levels. Even for a used one!
Oh well, they can keep them.
They both definately have their uses, but laptops suck for home/office duties. To much maintenance. Damaged/stolen to easily. To slow for the price. The big word, 'PROPRIETARY' = blah.
Worst of all they are 'mainstream'. They are mainstream because they are in 'fashion'. Being in fashion means your 87% (is that right by IQ figures?) likely to have an IQ less than 110.
Most people with laptops just like to show off anyways.
Time 4 bed, l8r

Why not just dowel rods and felt washers? put a threaded handle at the top and tada. Label the handles. Low low tech. E z 2 make.
