I guess some particular pool construction would allow that situation. Actually the water said pool would be electrically isolated from ground, and then forcefully connected to some live wire from bomb / lights whatsoever. Then, simultaneous contact between the water and the external ground in example when someone was entering the pool would result in electrocution. If the live wire is connected to water in the pool, probably the current will find way to ground through the water and will miss the 'victim' entirely.

  5. Re:Quoting Homer on Once-Darling Ethanol Losing Friends In High Places · · Score: 1

Ethanol needs less compression rates than gas. Keep that on mind. That is the main difference between ethanol and gas engines here (Brazil). Nowadays there are mixed fuel engines for cars that employ an intermediary rates and the injection CPU does the trick of mixing the fuel with air on a proportion that (a) can explode into chamber and (b) does not overload the crank and cylinder systems. Given the standard mower / chainshaw / whatever 4 stroke engine, which has a radically simple carburator to make the mixing and was designed and adjusted to higher compression rates, when ethanol comes to scene you get promptely an hydraulic prop and goodbye, engine.

AFAIK, using an instance of ec2 doesn't differ (by my POW) from having a 'physical' server. I use a very basic setup with Debian, and really don't matter where are the host right now (East Coast, they told me).
After initial setup it is accessible through ssh or whatever server you might want to install.
They provide pretty complete control over the machine, plus a very simple front-end to firewall and IP redirect.
Not that different from the 'physical' server we have and much more seamless to upgrade, and no hardware issues to wonder about.
