    It's bandwidth, not speed.

  7. Black gold? on Taiwanese Parliament votes Against Microsoft · · Score: 1

This is Taiwan we're talking about.

When they say they'll reduce purchases on Microsoft-related products, they actually mean that 25% more IT-related money will go into various politicians' pockets.

NetFront 3.2, as of now, is the incumbent ruling web browser for Windows Pocket PCs, excluding IE Mobile (Opera Mobile is still in beta/alpha/unreleased stage).

It, too, uses Google as the default search. Really, what *would* they use... MSN search?

  9. Re:The bloody metric system. on Blue Tango Classic Bluetooth MP3 Player Reviewed · · Score: 1

Actually, this was developed in Taiwan, and the length was originally measured in metric.

Oh, and Bluetooth doesn't conflict with wi-fi as much as 2.4GHz does, which is what most of its competitors use. Although Bluetooth has shorter range, many people already use 2.4GHz phones and devices, so that's why Bluetooth was selected over 2.4GHz. Erm, one more thing praising this: this thing can run with other Bluetooth enabled A2DP devices, such as a Pocket PC. In that case, if you have the drivers, the receiver works with your phone, PDA, or even your laptop computer.

Well, apparently, Oracle has changed (http://news.zdnet.com/2100-3513_22-5788788.html).

Still, charging 1.5x the price for each piece of software run on dual-core boxes (or more) is really evil.

"This time, Microsoft has stated clearly that it is going after PlayStation. However, they're going not after the PlayStation 3, but the PlayStation 2. They were looking at 2, and that's why [Xbox 360] became like that". And by "that", he probably means crappy. I'm just guessing. Soooo.... He's saying that the PS2 is old and lame already,... but the 360 comes out year's end, while the PS3 is a long way off. I think Sony should have him shot.
