    They also shoot down wind, water, tide, and just about any other power source they can find as often as they can, because it will hurt the environment.

    Nuclear power heats up the water near them, wind turbines disrupts the air flow and kills birds who somehow can't avoid the slow moving blade, dams disrupt the ecosystem in countless ways, tide power disrupt the coastlines a lot too.

    In the end it becomes a combination of NIMBY and save the bird footed speckled hooter iguana.

    You've obviously never used AOL, it has tons of exclusive contant not available anywhere else, though not as much as it used to where it was THE online (online isn't always the internet) presence for many companies.

    There's an free app for windows from sysinternals called tcpview that lets you close connection, it's gui based though available here

    not sure of any command line utils

    sysinternals has many other cool free apps and many of those have source code

    Yes, they were reacting to the the previous 8 years of presidentship of Clinton, Bush hadn't done anything up to that point, he was going to be a do nothing president, he said so several times, but after 9/11 he didn't really have that choice.

    I have a .com instead of a .gov right here for you www.eht.com so that's close, it's a website for a town in NJ in the US, and still the wrong name, it really should be eht.nj.gov or eht.nj.us or something similar, not a .com if it followed the "rules".

    And yes towns are government agencies.

    Imagine if all the energy that is being used by the Gnome team and the KDE team being put towards 1 interface rather than 2.

    Imagine if all the energy being spent on 3000 different Linux distros was being put towards 1 distro(or *BSD), Microsoft may have been banished long ago.

    Imagine if all the BSDs put all their energy towards a common BSD(or Linux).

    I could go on for a while

    Are they supposed to cure cancer? Make an uber politcal party everyone can agree to? Reduce emissions of corporations? What exactly do you want us to imagine? They seem to be having fun, and as far as I can tell, not hurting anyone else.

    Doing a quick search does yield Nintendo as part of their client list, this may just be over zealousness on the part of the law firm or even just a lonely bored employee and not something Nintendo directed them to do. We have seen law firms in the past do this kind of stuff without the IP owner directing them to so do(or at least that's what they tell us).

    Then again it could just be some jerk who spoofed an email to get everyone's dander up.

    There are six candidates who meet the qualification this year of winning enough ballots to potentially win 270 electoral votes:

    # Badnarik
    # Bush
    # Cobb
    # Kerry
    # Nader
    # Peroutka

    So they should all be allowed to be at the debate.

    The iTunes store among others aren't illegal, but will still kill these middleman retailers.

    Agreed, we were running SETI on some development and QA machines, until it turned out those machines had more problems than the same exact configured machines that weren't running it, off SETI goes, and hey look no more problems.

    Just to nitpick, TV, at least in the US is about 60 fields/sec (59.94 but who is counting), which is about 30 frames/sec (29.97).

    Or a Pinnacle Systems Deko product, or a Vizrt box. If you're looking at a Mac for video editing for religious or political reasons, be aware that both Dekos and Duets (Chyron's CG product) run on Windows, thou8gh older Chyrons ran on a proprietary OS, not sure what Vizrt's systems run on.

    Pinnacle has much more market share, Chyron used to be huge, but now Pinnacle runs 45% of the CG market, Chyron, Vizrt, and a few smaller players split the other 55%, so that may also be taken into consideration.

    Also these systems run in to the easily multi thousands of dollars, $45k+.

    Other than price though, what it sounds like he wants is definitely a CG.

    Why test all of them? When you have your run of 200 good ones, just stop testing the rest and throw the other 100 away then and there. Don't even worry if they're good or not.

    Actually, unless you buy chips in a "retail" box, you don't get a warranty from Intel, you get it from the OEM who provided you the chip.

    Same thing actually goes for tech support for that copy of Windows that comes with most PCs, one of the many reasons OEM licenses are cheaper, Microsoft isn't your tech support contact, the person who sold you your OEM license is.
