They've stated that they don't care how people watch their episodes (downloaded or not) as long as they get to see them or something to that extent. That's why South Park episodes are much easier to find online; legal action isn't taken against sites that host South Park content.

I volunteered the summer between 11th and 12th grade at a computer donation place where we refurbish computers and repair computers that we have sold in our thrift store. There were some kids my age and a lot of people who all were adults learning about technology and knew enough to be pretty damn smart about PC repair, a lot of them were going back to college or needed jobs or were veterans. They were some of the most fun people to work with and they did a good job too. I was humbled by them many times and I considered myself to be pretty good with computers, inside and out (which is why I volunteered there in the first place). The place was community driven and non-profit. My boss and one of the other head guys were from back in the day talking about old computers in the 70s and 80s, showing us old equipment, and setting up Linux (the second guy was trying to start up Linux classes and other open source promotional stuff, although the systems we did has 2000 on them). The point is, it isn't so bad to hire kids or other people from the community as opposed to someone who's gone through 3 different schools to be certified in IT.

Also, I once was doing some sort of virus check or disk check (I forget now) and some middle aged woman had brought this computer in that her son used that they had bought at our store. The file names start flying by and there is tons and tons of porn (I can tell because they are all porn actress names or "boobs" in the filename with video and image file extensions) and it was extremely awkward because the woman was sitting right there.

So? When I was 6 I wanted a lot of things that my parents would never get me because I was too young. It's not uncommon for children to want things they see everywhere but are too young to have. If it was cigarettes than you should explain to her they are bad, but a cell phone is something that in this day and age, many people will need at a certain point and isn't inheritly harmful or to be discouraged for life, it should just be explained that she is too young. Same as if she asked for a car or something.

I agree. Within the last two days I've gotten some of the scariest spam yet. It contains my complete address and phone number and asks me to confirm so I can be shipped packages that were sent to me. The only thing they got wrong was that they meant to email the spam to my dad, but it went to me (my email is under his Verizon account) so the To header was in the form of My Dad's Name . The message AND the webpage it wanted me to visit weren't flagged by Thunderbird/Firefox as phishing. So no, spammers aren't giving up.

I actually am a recent Mac convert, and I'm posting this on my XP desktop. I got my first real Mac this summer. But the fact is, in my experience, and many people's experiences, Mac's run more stable than Windows. I can't give up Windows completely for many reasons, but I'm not gonna be a fanboy for either side and say that Windows is completely stable or Mac can run anything. I dunno, everyone has different experiences, but it isn't wrong to say that the general PC stereotype (which has some credibility) is that PCs running Windows are more crash prone than Mac. This isn't true in every case obviously and there are caveats, and it is a stereotype but its based on truth.

Linux, Nvidia, ATI, and various 3rd parties have been including/adding multiple desktops for ages. A big part of the Mac experience is stability also. I am not trying to troll, but honestly, Windows is known for crashing (/. should know) and Mac is known for not crashing. Installing a lot of graphic-intensive system-altering crap onto Windows is a surefire way to only increase whatever instability was already present. I know this sounds like a complete troll, but I'm really just trying to make a point and I'm using stereotypes (which hold some truth) to assist me in making that point. So please keep that in mind, mods.

In my opinion, one is better off reading the Bible as a collection of stories and descriptions of our past, whether one believes it or not. Looking at it as some kind of source code is ridiculous and misses the point. Whether one believes the Bible or not, or believes it to varying degrees, it can be informative whether spiritually or historically. But looking for answers as though it is some kind of machine misses the point.
