Nice to see he's playing the role as a maryter, and enforcing the fear that videogames make for a violent society. "The threshold for accepting charges or declining them is whether or not the complainant was in fear for his life," Martin noted, "not whether or not the complainant had the ability to carry it out. But just making threats would be an offense in itself." Whats that about? I hear about people being threatend and stalked and don't have any recorse. Local police wont do anything, just file a report.

I wasn't aware of that. However having the controller be the "memory stick" hasn't been done before far as I can remember. It's all speculation, maybe the controllers can "talk" to each other and you can share information by just having a revolution and controllers nearby. I could see an idea like this being a bridge for people without the intertron.

Imagine being able to keep your game saves on the rev's controller, then strolling over to your friends house and all you need to carry is the game and controller. You could upload high scores, your nes games you've purchased... Play them there. Once the controllers gone the revolution won't play them any more. There's a lot that could be done if the controller stores information on it.

You can't get this part of the game without patching it. How is that part of the game?
From a CNN article "The "hot coffee" modification, which violates the game's software user agreement, is the result of hackers disassembling and then combining, recompiling and altering the game's source code, Rockstar said."
That statement is not false, since the only way to acheive this "hot coffee" game is to patch the game itself. What is with negative people on slashdot? I've only posted 3 times and each time I'm met with anger. I was referencing the Clinton Fiasco with my last post as a joke. Jackass.

To me it'd make sense to have two ethernet ports on nextgen consoles so that you could daisy chain them together (at least the same kinds) They have so much processing power it wouldn't matter and you wouldn't need a hub or router. The ethernet cables could be really small too since you can stack them now. Don't know much about networking but I'm sure something like this is possible for lan play.
