Simply remove pictures of peoples faces from all publishing material.
Honestly though, even without the simple bypass just give a 10 to adult to have his face recognized. This is no different then kids waiting outside the gas station for smokes.
I think there reason why there are so many shooters is because most 2D platforms lent themselves well to the genre, which was very popular at the time.
Chances are the kids mentally disturbed. But that won't change the fact that, "Videogames made him do it." (C) Copyright 2005 Jack Thompson. Nice to see he's playing the role as a maryter, and enforcing the fear that videogames make for a violent society.
"The threshold for accepting charges or declining them is whether or not the complainant was in fear for his life," Martin noted, "not whether or not the complainant had the ability to carry it out. But just making threats would be an offense in itself."
Whats that about? I hear about people being threatend and stalked and don't have any recorse. Local police wont do anything, just file a report.
Speak for yourself (I guess you did) I asked for popular science I got popular mechanics... So long as the kid wants to go, it sounds like he has a cool dad.
I wasn't aware of that. However having the controller be the "memory stick" hasn't been done before far as I can remember. It's all speculation, maybe the controllers can "talk" to each other and you can share information by just having a revolution and controllers nearby. I could see an idea like this being a bridge for people without the intertron.
Imagine being able to keep your game saves on the rev's controller, then strolling over to your friends house and all you need to carry is the game and controller. You could upload high scores, your nes games you've purchased... Play them there. Once the controllers gone the revolution won't play them any more. There's a lot that could be done if the controller stores information on it.
I beg to differ. Mambo offer's an opportunity for smaller guys to easyly create a website who would otherwise need to pay a "real" developer obscene somes of money.
It does show it's strength by forking. Miro was essentially having a coup for control over the Mambo source code with it's "Mambo Foundation" The developers had no say in any of this. The community has seen it has no control over what happens to "Mambo" so they left. www.opensourcematters.org
The sky is falling! There was unaccessable content in a videogame that someone modded to make availible, and now with a downloadable patch a child might be able to use it! Nevermind the game was rated M to begin with! We need or tax payers money doing something about this! These are the real problems were facing today people!/Saracasim out
You can't get this part of the game without patching it. How is that part of the game?
From a CNN article "The "hot coffee" modification, which violates the game's software user agreement, is the result of hackers disassembling and then combining, recompiling and altering the game's source code, Rockstar said."
That statement is not false, since the only way to acheive this "hot coffee" game is to patch the game itself. What is with negative people on slashdot? I've only posted 3 times and each time I'm met with anger. I was referencing the Clinton Fiasco with my last post as a joke. Jackass.
This part of the game wasn't availible until the modder released a patch to unlock it. The code was not availible to play until this time.
So I guess it depends on what your definition of "is" is.
To me it'd make sense to have two ethernet ports on nextgen consoles so that you could daisy chain them together (at least the same kinds) They have so much processing power it wouldn't matter and you wouldn't need a hub or router. The ethernet cables could be really small too since you can stack them now. Don't know much about networking but I'm sure something like this is possible for lan play.
If were talking about swap then nevermind, nothing you can do there. The filesystem is the swap.
Don't Journaled filesystems themselves use b-trees? Does this mean they could be much faster in theory?

I'd like a one on one interview with her, if ya know what I mean.
Nice reasoning! I find your insights intriging and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Well actually, Captian Sarcasm is his sidekick.
No joke, and I too remember thinking the book about Bonic Commando was really good for some reason.
Anybody else remember the book?
Irony is wasted on the stupid.
And the SNES. It wasn't technically 3D in terms of what the computer processor was doing.
Someone needs a job, bad.

Is that like First Post? Heh, kids these days... Coffeegate, First Mover, hehe.
You have to be in a squad, only your squad members and commander can hear you.

"I think it gets perpetrated because it's such a nice myth -- you would get love and peace, the old hippie dream you know?"
So he's saying that no one in their right mind would try and help anyone else by voluntering time?
