AAC doesn't work on the Xbox360 without installing some additional stuff on it. Also, I don't think the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 are really considered iPod wannabes, which is what the GP was talking about. They're not really the kind of thing I'd want to carry around in my pocket all day.

You should not let minor differences such as the color of your feathers get in the way of appreciating the scientific contributions of another parrot. Be tolerant of different-colored parrots, it's what Alex would have wanted.

Open the following KML file: http://s3.amazonaws.com/fossett/geo-eye.kml Cut and paste the co-ordinates found next to the image tile below into the "Fly To" box in the top left corner of Google Earth. As a technologist who also reads ancient Egyptian (from college) as well as Akkadian (== Assyrian & Babylonian, with slightly different scripts over the years) and Sumerian, I can fairly readily call shenanigans on this one. The sophistication of translation here is about as deep as the 'your name in hieroglyphs' stuff you find in museum stores and the horrid Dover reprints of Budge's books.

And don't even get me started on Sumerian. Professional Sumerologists still can't render half of the agglutinative morphemes that appear in Sumerian verbs. I definitely agree with you on translating difficulties. When your last sentence was translated into English, most of it came out as gibberish!

Epic has a lot more experience in developing online games. Halo 2 was the first game Bungie developed that incorporated actual online play, and look at how well (or not) they did in relation to other successful online games (e.g., Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament (an Epic game! oh my!), etc.). Maybe their developers are just still sore that they aren't making Mac-only games anymore? ;p The Marathon Trilogy has multiplayer and was made by Bungie about 10 years before Halo 2 came out.
