Judges are overrated in my opinion. One should disobey a law that they know to be unjust. Laws can be wrong, just as easily as humans can be wrong, and just because something is written does not make it fact, and certainly does not mean it should be followed.
I find it promising that this gap between religion and science is finally being bridged. Will this bring about a closer relationship with religion and science? Perhaps the field of genetic/stem cell research is next to be discussed openly between these two groups. One can only hope.
A year ago my school switched their programming class from C++ to Java as well. Because of this my school bought all new books. And now the "hype" is over and schools may have to change again soon thus losing a lot more money:( .
This isin't about saving a few bucks (yes I know its more then a few bucks) on medical testing its about not respecting human life in an equal manner.
"Third World lives are worth much less than the European lives. That is what colonialism was all about," said Srirupa Prasad, a visiting assistant professor of medical history and bioethics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Most home PC users don't know what a firewall is much less hot to properly configure one. Most home useres think that just having a virus scan and anti-spyware software is enough they don't think about updating. This will for the most part never change as people will not compel themselves to learn about security on their own.
I ususally buy cds at concerts I go to and ususally never pay more then $10 for a cd when that same exact cd at best buy might be over $17. Even with the cost of going to the show I still usually, at the end of the day, make out on the deal as almost everything is cheeper when you buy it at a show more or less directly from the artist. This way the artist recives most of the profit. Of corse this is not true accross the board most big name bands are always going to be at the whim of the record company as much as that may suck.
The Apple 99-cent-per-song is not only a rip off to consumers but more importantly to the artists. The money from most of the sales does not go to the artits it goes rather to the service provider (Apple) first then to the record companies then to the artists. The more you move away from the source the less money the source will reciveve. This is not a big deal with most popular bands that you will see on MTV but smaller bands need closer support.
I much rather support the artist directly. Also support independent labels who treat their artist fairly.
Yeah I donno I really do like fluxbox. Part of the reason its seen as not user friendly is because it provides go GUI configuration tool its all managed by config files.
Of corse its poorly defined! The more you add to this the more complicated it is going to get. In short people are never going to be happy. Some people will want things to be more specific while others would prefer a broad definition.

The trick is to be able to regulate when enough is enough. To regulate when you have steped over the boundries of being fair or ludacris. I would rather not have to have every domain look like this: xyz.na.us.il.com
"Critics such as the Family Research Council, a conservative U.S.-based religious group, complain that creating the.xxx domain would only legitimize the porn industry..."
Legitimize the porn industry? I'm pretty sure if you look at how much money the porn industry generates today its hard to say its not already legitimized.
But isint the only difference between an M and an AO rating is thatyou have to be 17 to buy a M rated game and 18+ to buy an AO rated game? Why is that year difference such a big deal? We all know there is not a whole hell of a lot of difference in a year. Especially when its between 17 and 18.

Just look at this. We're not afraid of all girls just the real life ones.
Will Jerry O'Connell be involved in this one as well?
Will we now have to be assimilated?

A known issue is better then an unknown issue. With a known issue people will be more aware and be less likly to fall victum.
the day that Duke Nukem forever comes out.

redundent? I posted before I even saw any of the other posts. I assure you it was not intended.

Yeah buu you will still have to reboot the system regularly again to avoid crashes so really where is the advantage?
*nix provides a much higher uptime and has had this funtionality since its inception.
nice try microsoft but its too little too late.

I would see Fluxbox as a viable desktop enviroment. It is not hardware demanding at all unlike KDE and to a lesser extent Gnome.
So what distrabution have they settled on?
and please don't make this the start of a "What distro is better?" flamewar.
Flamewar?
