  1. Few Major Bugs on Google's Chrome Declining In Popularity · · Score: 1

The trouble is that Chrome has a few nagging bugs, such as crashing when trying to bookmark a page, and crashing when trying to submit a bug report. It is a fairly fast browser however.

  2. Ubuntu on Chinese Government Accused of Hacking Congress · · Score: 1

I bet those computers weren't running Ubuntu. :-)

I use the blocksite mod for FF my string looks like this:

    "http://pcturbopro.com|||http://us2.4you.dada.net|||http://amaena.com|||http://winantivirus.com|||http://www.drivecleaner.com|||http://longlifepc.com|||http://scanner2.malware-scan.com/"

That all seems to be the same ad btw, for some antivirus software that is in fact spyware.

    Also run WOT.

What any of this has to do w/ anything I don't know...

  4. casual gamer on PS3's Back-Compat Loss Explained, Analyzed · · Score: 1

The whole Sony game plan was to boast about how much more powerful the Playstation 2 and 3 were over the Xbox and Xbox 360, and while removing backwards compatibility doesn't take away CPU or GPU power, it does deal a psychological blow to the Playstation FanBoys, who are the only ones buying the PS3 right now. I think the backwards compatibility was aimed more at the casual gamer who had a few games they would like to keep playing than it was at the hardcore market. So the loss of the casual market is what will hurt the most in the long run. BC matters little to the hardcore who still have their PS1 and PS2 and don't need BC on the PS3.

  5. NBC in trouble on Knight Rider To Ride Again · · Score: 5, Insightful

I wondered how much trouble NBC was in, and now we know, this will be a really short lived remake I think.

  6. EA on Are Game Publishers Late To the (Wii and DS) Game? · · Score: 1

Thus far I have not seen NCAA nor Nascar for the Wii, despite the fact that both the Xbox 360 and the Wii are pretty much even in total number of consoles in the wild. There may be other games in the works for the Wii, but, considering Nascar's fan base and the fact that there is now a Wii sponsored car in Nascar, a Nascar game would be very welcome, even if it does blow pretty hard on the Xbox 360.

  7. wordpress.com on LiveJournal Says Users are Responsible for Content of Links · · Score: 1

At http://wordpress.com/ you can get a free blog rolling in no time, so there is little reason to be using LJ at this point, I would encourage everyone to switch over to wordpress.com at once and the problem will fix it's self in no time. I in no way, shape, or form have anything to do w/ wordpress or wordpress.com other then being a user or intended user.

  8. Re:I will buy a Mac on id, EA Show Support For Apple · · Score: 1

That is awesome, does anyone have any idea about what sort of Mac I will need to buy to get these things to play smoothly?

  9. I will buy a Mac on id, EA Show Support For Apple · · Score: 1

I will buy a Mac for sure if more people throw their support behind it, I am wondering where the EA Sports line is though, that should be ported over, it may move some Macs for Apple.

  10. SATA Drives are cheap on New Motherboards Disallowing IDE Booting? · · Score: 1

I don't know why they would disable booting from IDE, it seems rather lame, I wonder if booting from a pci card would work though, but, SATA DVD drives are pretty cheap, the SATA cable is smaller and allows for more air flow, plus it gives you a nice clean inside to look at through the window.

  11. The movies listed are on usenet on New Sony DVDs Not Working In Some Players · · Score: 1

The movies listed in the article are on Usenet, I didn't search torrent, but logic says they would be there as well, so I am not too sure who this stops really, just turns more people to pirated content to watch a movie they were willing to pay top dollar for.

  12. Not a good idea on Windows Vista To Come In 7 Flavors · · Score: 1

It just isn't a good idea to have 7 Versions, just because you don't need something now doesn't mean you won't down the road, though I suspect there will be 3rd party and open source software to fill the void left by the "extra" features MS has left out of the "lesser" versions. If it wasn't for PC gaming I'd switch to Linux, if apple came down in price I'd consider switching to Apple instead. No one wants to pay any more then they have to either way, buying hardware(Apple) or software(software.)
