The police still kill more than them.. lightning strikes on golf courses also.

Go back to your EDL rally.

Lets take the USA. 2,977 people killed in the 9/11 attacks. Each year 37 people are killed by lightning strikes. In the past it was as high as 70. Even if we assume that all of these occurred on golf courses you are way off. As for police killings - if you mean in all time the answer is "so far". Looking at Wiki lists they kill about 400 each year. The muzzy threat is growing.

In Britain (which does not have tropical storms) only 3 people a year are killed by lightning strikes and 15 people have been killed by police. Compare that with the 56 killed in the 7 July bombings. Again the muzzy threat is growing here too.

Capturing a person's though process has a lot of value, sometimes more than the actual post written. Think of brand recognition, for a simple example. I like Pep... oops, I mean, Coke.

And that is quite harmless. Its if writing a draft "dear mum and dad I'd like to telly you I'm gay. I know its against your religious beliefs", then deleting it will result in adverts for gay support groups, or anything else that could give someone an idea of what might not have been said that there is a problem.

So if I am mining bit coin, and it costs me more in electricity than I am getting in return from the bit coin I make, does that mean I get to write off my electric bill?

Or lets say I am making money, is my electric bill the cost basis for the bit coin? But I also needed a computer to mine, can I factor that into the basis?

I don't think they realize there are other legal ways to get bit coin besides buying it. Or perhaps then they just figure the basis is $0 and tax you 100% on the actual value.

If they are treating it as an asset then you would be a manufacturer and presumably would benefit from all the usual tax breaks. Whether this would include making your electric costs tax deductible in Norway I don't know, but it should be the same as if you were manufacturing shoes, ships, or anything else.
