    Give me a break, this is professional? This is for the average Joe? CLI installation and unprofessional URLs do not a professional program make.

    Perhaps...

    As an OOBE automatically launching immediately after install on first boot, before the desktop loads.

    Otherwise, it's crap for "new users" or "the average Joe".

    A lot of us will use it, and it may get even more popular, but calling it a tool for new users and the average Joe is stretching it a bit.

    Exactly!

    We recently had a very similar issue.

    Called them on Thursday at 4:30PM CST.

    Told them the drive was bad in one of our GX270s. Told them I has swapped it out with a spare, the spare worked fine. Told them I put the original drve in another PC and experienced the same issue.

    Gave 'em the numbers and address. The call, in it's entirety (including one transfer because I called the wrong number) lasted less than 10 minutes.

    Had a new disk out here Friday morning @ 11am CST.

    Could not believe it after all the crap I read on here about how horrible Dell support was.

    Just got in a boatload of 620s. I have no qualms about these machines.

    I sick and tired of everyone whining about the poor users. If they cannot be bothered to protect themselves, I will not be bothered to care one bit when it turns around and bites them in the ass.

    Want my pity? *Do* something to deserve it. Lack of action on your part does not constitute a requirement for mercy or sympathy on my part. Putting your personal data on a shared computer? Yeah, that's bright. For your next trick, why don't you go play in traffic. (Not directed @ parent, but @ moron using said shared PC as a private system)

    I'm sure it had nothing to do with you messsing around during installation (which I will admit is *way* too easy to do.).

    Look...it idn't work for ya on the first try. Hell, Windows doesn't work for lots of people on the first try. This does, in no way, reflect on the quality of the distribution.

    Now... If you could post evidence stating it was unbelieveably common for this to occur, it might be different. But one user's account is no way to judge ... anything.
