I bought a PSP without a doubt in my mind that there would be awesome games soon that would make the DS (which I didn't purchase because I was getting a PSP) teh sUxx0rz. Well, now I'm not so sure. The only launch game that didn't suck was Ridge Racer, and the 2 games I was genuinely excited for (Coded Arms and Death Jr,) turned out to suck ass, and I upgraded firmware before I new about homebrew. And the games I'm now really looking forward to are ports of games I love (Castelvania: Symphony of the Night, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Mega Man Legends) so there's no way to get disappointed. What kind of console has you looking forward to ports? I'm sorry, but if Tenchu doesn't rock and developers don't start making good games, the next thing my PSP is going to see is the Pre-owned aisle at EB Games.
A friend of mine was berating me over the fact that it is impossible for a human arm to move fast enough that you would notice a difference between 800 DPi, 1600 DPi, and 2000 DPi. Well, that's not the reason I'm getting a next-gen mouse. I use a diamondback right now (couldn't stand the MX510 and 518's shape) and I have a few problems. First of all, the side buttons, unless you like screwing with your process priorities, have WAAAY to much lag, and require too much pressure to push down on the right side (if you're right-handed.) Both of these problems will hopefully be fixed in the Copperhead. That, and the ability to change the weight settings, not to mention the damn sexy looks make the Copperhead worth 80$
See the difference between them and us? They place the blame on the parents who don't give a fuck and buy their kids whatever violent game they want, because they are to damn lazy to read a goddamned label that tells them that the game isn't for their child, while we Americans blame the ESRB and videogame companies, because we don't fucking want to be labelled a bad parent and we want to sue to get some fucking money.
You see, a big cultural difference in America than in the UK (and most other places in the world for that matter) is that we, as Americans, like to sue. We sue over everything. We sue to make money. We sue to blame someone else for our own poor eating decisions(Google McFatties.) We even sue to make money off of our dead children. Like the parents that sue videogam companies after their children have been shot. In my honest oppinion, by doing that, you're fucking your child's corpse for money.
Blame the killers and the apathetic fucks who raised them, not video games.
Once the anti-videogame lobby (i.e. Jack Thompson a.k.a. Deuche bag) gears this, they are going to get off of video game violence, and revive that whole "Video games are like crack" bullshit that was being spread by the media a few years back.
About the guy: At least he was happy right before he croaked.
I really don't see a good way out of this for Microsoft. If people's favorite games DON'T become backwards compatible, they're going to raise hell and end up not buying a 360. If, say, a game like Street Fighter Anniversary collection doesn't get ported, a great many fighting game fans will keep their X-Boxes. Sony avoided the crisis that almost came from Gran Turismo 2 not being compatible with the PS2 by releasing Gran Turismo 3. Microsoft will have to work very hard to make sure that they don't piss off their fans.
Voltron was really cool. I remember watching it after Speed Racer on Saturday mornings. Comes close to Robotech as my favorite Giant Robot Anime. I just hope this isn't based on the shitty computer generate cartoon from a few years back.
I doubt this had anything to do with the spam, but if it did, in no way was the punishment proportionate to the crime. Sure, I get tired of e-mails asking me if I feel my manhood is inadequate, but who would kill someone for it?
But just when are we gettingliquid hydrogen powered cars? Seriously, I'm freaking fed up with paying 20$ a gallon on gas. Maybe an infinitely available resource would be cheaper.
