Didn't you know? Every post correcting the spelling or grammar of another must have a spelling or grammar mistake of its own. Slashdot tradition. But since you don't know that, I guess you must be new here.
Though probably meant as a humorous statement, Axonal is making a true statement. The United States is not nearly as free or stable a country as many would like to think, especially its own citizens.
Only once all inhabitants of the US wake up from a long, apathetic slumber, the US will be free again.
I hope you don't work for Apple, because Steve "Job's" may see to it you don't ever get any other "Jobs" in the tech industry again.
For you home-gamers, his name is Steve Jobs. The possessive is Steve Jobs'.
A friend note from your neighborhood Grammar Nazi. Sleep well.

"quota-less Internet like electricity or water"
I'm sure the world's ISPs wouldn't mind delivering Internet just like utilities deliver electricity or water. What would you say to $0.08/MB?
May I ask from what orifice of your body are you pulling a 30% profit margin on the Blu-Ray drive?
It's common (or I guess not so common) knowledge console makers accept a loss on their hardware, making up their margins in software sold.
The reason Sony could put a $100 Blu-Ray drive in the PS3 is because they believe the increased capacity will give them an edge over the competition to sell more software.
vegan diets kill you for the very same reason that unhealty food does: it's unhealty!
You must be joking! Veganism is the healthiest lifestyle one can take up. If one eats a balanced diet with "combination foods," more vitamins, minerals and other essential building-blocks for the human body will be absorbed and put to good use than even the leanest of non-vegan diets.
the whole concept of a "diet" is a huge load of crap!
Maybe you should pick up a dictionary once in a while. A diet is simple what one habitually consumes.
Eat only when you're really hungry! not when you just want to eat now.
This has to be the worst piece of weight-loss advice I have ever set eyes upon. If you shock your system by only consuming (what will end up as large) quantities of food a couple times a day, your metabolism will shift into preservation mode and start storing more fat, slowing down and ending up helping you to gain weight in the long run. My advice? Eat a balanced diet, consume as many FRESH, ORGANIC fruits and vegetables as possible, eat as little animal flesh as possible, as the saturated fats contained within will NOT help you on your way to a healthy lifestyle, ride a bicycle or take a thirty minute swim outside a few times a week and most importantly, get atleast seven hours of sleep every night.
Yes, because when gas and electric became "utilities" prices plummeted and we've been enjoying extremely inexpensive fuel ever since!
Thank goodness for capitalism

Congraulations on being one step ahead of the rest of us, just like the Japanese.
Monkey Ball and Snake at 1600x1200 at 76Hz!
That was a great movie. From the look of your post's karma, the mods don't seem to agree.
I wouldn't want Mono at my conference either! http://www.monobrex.com/
