  1. Useful for GPGPU? on 3D Rendering of Gaming Graphics · · Score: 0

Something like this could be useful for doing general purpose gpu programming. It can be a real pain to shoehorn your data in and out of the video card, so a tool to make that easier would be welcome I think. Of course, the process had better be fast and easy to program around or there would be no point.

    • The Keyboard inserts work well, they are quick to take in and out and they are easy to store.
    • The alternative button layout is good and bad. You don't loose your home key as easily when you are rushed, but on the other hand, the key size and spacing could be tweaked and the arrangment of the regular keys makes it pretty difficult to type chat messages.
    • No one really needs or wants the weapon laybels on the number keys, overall though, the keyboard looks cool and makes an interesting computer accessory if you're interested in that sort of thing
    • Zboards have very good game recognition and make it easy to set up and store your custom key mappings in one place. The utilities work well and aren't a major system hog.
    • Zboards have better driver support for large key sequences. Some keyboards don't work properly when holding down 3 or 4 keys at once.
    • I haven't had any reliability problems with mine in the year I've owned it. My girlfriend even melted a bunch of the keys by accident and that still didn't damage anything other than those keys

That may be true, but print(and other media) will still stay around as long as the consumption of digial media is tied to inconvenient technology. Reading a book, magazine or newspaper is far more pleasent to many, rather than looking at the same text on a computer, pda, etc. It's nice being able to hold something in your hand and take it anywhere without batteries or cords. Outmoded idea? maybe, but it's the truth.

Trillian is a bit more about eye candy and user friendlyness, not to knock it though because I used it for a long time.

Also, an expert on physics need not be a PHD, I would trust someone with a Bachelors in physics to describe Newtonian motion. Also, I don't think that controversial articles are the norm. Think of this as a way of grading the potential quality of the imformation. The contributions with a higher status should not be quite as easy to change, but content with that status would be tightly regulated so not to introduce harmful changes.

That wouldn't be necessary and there are already alternatives in place. An expert contributer need not be an editor and/or a proof reader for the content that they contribute. If Wikipedia were to recognized contributions made by experts, then the editing staff would just have to make sure that those articles are more stable. Either experts could be give special account privledges or their posts could be given precedence in some cases. There will be problems with any large group effort like Wikipedia, that is not to say that there aren't ways to make it work better though.

While I always use PunkBuster myself, I'm just acknowledging that it has problems, some of those being out of your control to fix. For that reason, I think it's good that PunkBuster is optional.

That is the case, but think about it this way. At some point the industry gets torn between whether to provide what gamers who want what is familiar to them or those who require something that is completely different. Another thing is that it seems to me that there are a lot of people out there who want to see a new version of title X; Some of those people go on to cry about it when title X+1 and any further versions fail to be completely revolutionary every time. Anyway, my point in all this is that if you want to see updates of your favorite game, fine, but don't expect the developer to create something totally new at the same time. For those who want to see new kinds of games, don't spend too much time complaining about ones that aren't what you want; Just buy games that meet your interests and ignore the rest if you don't like them.
