There is still some room for variation between those qualifiers. Perhaps the ones who had played, but not for at least three hours a week, were not statistically significant.
USAF stationed in Ramstein AFB, Germany. The COLA over here is unreal (almost $600 a month at the moment, and rising as the dollar falls. It is, I'm told, even higher in the UK and Japan) - I'm still living in the dorms too.
If you put in a housing allowance, the figure would jump up to around 50K, easy.
Deployed pay is confusing, but usually not much more than your base pay.
If you're in a hostile fire zone, you get (depending on your rank) around $100-200 extra per month, and tax-free income (Which is pointless at the lower ranks, because you're barely paying taxes in the first place).
If you're premenantly in a foreign country (Germany, UK, Japan, etc.) - you get a Cost of Living allowance that supposedly normalizes your pay to account for the dollar's shitty exchange rate. If you buy all your stuff on base, or over the internet, this is huge (~400 a month here in Germany, higher in the UK or Japan)
Military chow halls are, by and large, disgusting places to eat at. People who absolutely have to save money (heavy debts, etc.) - will eat there religiously. The rest of us buy food.
Housing is indeed paid for, it's adjusted to the local area's housing prices.
Overall with my allowances and base pay, I'm getting paid somewhere around $40K a year, total, as an E-3.
Parent took the GP's misconception of how and why economic decisions are made (that is, the idea that what the rep says has anything to do with why the decision was made) - and explained what was likely the real reason this decision was made.
I was off in Baghdad for four months with the Air force.
On our off time, Call of Duty 2 was the most popular game played over the squadron LAN.
We were, of course, a bunch of geeks who never left the Green zone. Good thing too, we'd have gotten slaughtered if we fought anything like how we played.
I tracked that down back when Bush was trying to deny he went to war because of WMD's - to prove to anyone who would listen that Bush was blowing smoke out his ass. The more I looked, the more I found intelligent, coherant speeches outside of the electoral spotlight. It was then that it dawned on me what a cleverly deceitful man Bush is, and how he'd been faking the idiot-speech the entire time, for our benefit.
He also does it to throw folks like you and I off, thinking that nobody so idiotic could possibly be a threat, so we dismiss him, giving him freedom to, say, authorize the openning of our mail without search warrants.
From an evolutionary (naturalist?) standpoint, rational, logical thinkers have tended to outcompete those without any concern for rational behavior.
Someone who behaves irrationally, varying their moods, values, and actions from moment to moment is usually considered to have some form of psychosis, they usually don't even form solid relationships, much less breed.
That's LASER, you insensitive clod.
For some reason, this reminded me of the Timecube.
Except for, Y'know, China.
Or India.
Or Pakistan.
Most of 'em spend all day in an air conditioned office playing call of Duty with us military techs.
They just make about a hundred and fifty thousand a year more than us

Think about this for a while.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but I'm really curious about this one.

Hate to say it, but you got fucked.

Informative or Insightful as per mods discretion.

Spanking is a punishment. Breaking your child's bones, or making them bleed, is abuse.
Was pretty damned good
That's true of pretty much every career field. You're not worth something until it works, and if it's not, it has to be the expert's fault.

I'll consider myself *WHOOSH*'d
like his Address to the United Nations justifying the war on Iraq

Where've you been?
Dude's been faking the stupid-people speak because the american public prefers it, and elects him because of it.
Check out his pre-presidential stuff, and non-televised speeches, so long as he's not in the public eye, he's an amazing speaker.
I'm pretty sure he's quoting Deus Ex, when you say the killphrase to the mech guy...
Take a roadtrip down to Eugene, OR.
If the dude went to the funeral for her mother, then he's gonna show up at her sister's funeral too.
In the open offensive, Iraq lasted about that long.
It's the occupation and rebuilding of Iraq in an attempt to make sure the country is stable (and US-friendly) when we leave that's taking so long.
If it's a knock-down drag out war where all we care about is destroying the opposing country, the USA has a clear advantage.

Ethnocentrism.
I'm not even going to try.
Do some reading on the subject.
Educate yourself, Wikipedia is a good starting point, google if you must.
But once you're done, look back on this, and reflect on the irony of you having called pretty much everyone else in the world a fucking retard.
