the answer is presumably because they consider piracy to be wrong, but don't want shell out money for the full version.
Presumably, but if that's the case it's not terribly smart.
In most developing markets you'll find the consumers to be less savvy about high tech IP issues like copyright violation than other developed markets. Far less.
Hell, less than five years ago here you had a significant percentage of the online population in the states copying music left and right with no clue that it was even illegal, much less wonder about the morality of it. You still see that defense come up from time to time, too.
And MS expects some preteen in Singapore to know better? Good luck with that.
Singapore is not a developing country. Parent modded down for racism.

It is so blatantly obvious what Apple's long term business plan is.
NeXTStep for Intel is ported to PowerPC and renamed to Mac OS X.
Apple announces that they are switching to the x86 architecture, complete with BIOS and all. Even go far as stating that Apple x86 Macs will be capable of running Windows. Essentially, 100% PC-compatible.
Apple announces that only Apple x86 PCs will be capable of running Mac OS X for Intel. Obviously to not peeve MS so that MS will continue to develop MS Office for Macintosh. Same reason Apple has not decided to develop it's own office suite (iWork does not count, that competes with MS Works not Office.)
Slowly, x86 hardware vendors will develop drivers for Mac OS X for peripherals. The Open Source Darwin core of Mac OS X will be hacked to allow unsanctioned use Mac OS X on non-Apple PCs.
Apple will eventually stop producing PCs and compete soley as a software company (against MS).
You are correct. Afghanistan is not an Arab country. Also, the parent of this post seems to think Arab culture stifles creativity. That, to me, seems like racist sentiment.
This is much more like Robocop than any other movie analgoy. Imagine the sheer horror of waking up one day, and finding that your body is a mechanical construct.
with mozilla, you just have to hit enter. mozilla will automatically navigate to www..com if it can't resolve what you typed.
Yeah, but it takes time to resolve. I would rather have it jump to www..com without delay.

The iPaq h1910 doesn't support CompactFlash at all. In fact, a lot of newer devices don't support CompactFlash.
It is my belief that CF is on the way out, and will gradually be replaced with SecureDigital. Everyone (except Sony, Fuji, and Olympus) seems to be jumping on the SD bandwagon. With SDIO WiFi adapters just around the corner, I think SD will win the flash media wars.
I don't think it was the emulation engine that delayed OS X. After all, Apple has had tremendous Mac-on-UNIX experience with MAE for HP/UX and the System 7 layer on A/UX.
Also, people must remember that Mac OS X Server was released nearly a year before OS X consumer. Therefore, I believe the hold up was due to introduction of Aqua into the mix (and writing device drivers).

Wow, Chinese people solved a math problem?
This is news?
(j/k... I am Chinese).
I heard that Linux User Groups were a good place to meet chicks? Is this true?
I'm a Xoogler myself, and personally, I find my current job more fulfilling from a personal/learning/growth standpoint. Just my two cents.
This is not a new case, and it looks like a G5.
x86 Macs will not use OpenFirmware.

I've seen this already on a search engine called NetNose. Nothing original.
Caldera (which renamed itself SCO Group) is going to make money once they sue the pants off IBM.
Keep in mind that the current SCO Group is Caldera and not Santa Cruz Operations.
An Autoscroll extension is available for Mozilla and Firebird. The URL is here.

That's probably how the rat feels.
Go Aggies!
VNC for Palm has existed for a long time at http://www.wind-junkie.de/PalmVNC/.
they actually are making GTA3 for Game Boy Advance.

The ctrl-enter functionality in Phoenix is precisely the reason that I don't use Mozilla.
.com for you (and yes, I do know about the patch).
I can't stand Mozilla not being able to automatically enter www.
BTW, Alt-Enter opens the URL in a new tab in Phoenix.
Actually, Windows XP is NT 5.1.
If you go to a NT command prompt and type ver, it returns "Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]".
Actually, I don't know of any Pocket PC that's 320x480. Every Pocket PC I know of uses 320x240 QVGA resolution.
The Sony Palms & new generation of Palm devices beat Microsoft hands down in terms of screen resolution (and battery life).

Now if only Logitech would release the Cordless Dual Optical iFeel Mouse...
