  1. This has got to be the most inane topic I have see on What Tools Exist for User Published Content? · · Score: 1, Insightful

It's amazing, grandma johnson down the street can design her own webpages and yet this question gets deemed worthy enough for ask slashdot, where as a question I have asked a couple times about a way to tie SSHD into an sql database for user authentication for a running a "shell" instead of having to give 10,000 people user accounts on a machine gets constantly rejected.

It used to be that one would read slashdot for iformation from highly intelligent peers, anymore tho it feel like I should be taking off my shoes and socks as if I am going for a drive through Alabama instead.

A list of tools for publishing.... for cryin out loud, what's next? "What tools are available that sits high up off the floor, maybe has wheels and I can place my butt on it while using the computer?

As a former bar owner, I can tell you that the fee ASCAP charges is way out of line for the amount of money music brings in. If they were fair in their fees it might be a different matter, but they simply ask what is your yearly revenue, and then how often you have music and divide. But my biggest revenue days were from local bands that played and other events that did not include music from any musician that ASCAP might have represented. So in the end I was paying for something I did not use or get. That is why ASCAP and BMI are disliked by bar owners.

I can't believe how many comments that complete miss the point got modded up.

Let me spell it out for you. Dude has blog, some other dude, posts a comment about the blog entry. Dude who owns the blog is getting sued over the actions of someone else. It's messed up, and it's wrong, the owner of the blog has no control what other people post. This would be like someone spray painting racial slurs on the side of your house and you getting sued for it.

And yet, all these people are talking as if it was the blog owners own actions that raised the lawsuit and the mods in their powerhappy and yet incomprehensible ways of doing things on this site, modded those comments up.

All this time I thought slashdot was frequented by people who had at least a reasonable level of reading comprehension skills.

    I am curious about this.

What are the products of hydrogen combustion?

I always thought that use energy to split the H2 from the O, send the H2 to the engine, recombine it with O (from the air) + a spark to start the chemical reaction which would result in energy + H2O

Does the Hydrogen actually get consumed? Or is the resulting "explosion" due to the recombining of the 2 elements?

I guess it would be more of a stock footage reference.
