You are mistaking "signature" and "agreement." Signatures are not a prerequisite to a valid contract, they are merely very good evidence of agreement. You can get out of some contracts you signed and you can be held to some contracts you didn't. The lack of a signature is not the reason EULAs are of questionable enforceability.

Of course, we are among the rare folk who have been able to enjoy two palindromic years in our lifetimes (my apologies to anyone 16 years of age or younger, as you've truly missed out and can only hope to live another 104 years to experience this) and the ultimate exception to the leap year pattern (my apologies to anyone 7 years of age or younger ... and if that's you, then you are really screwed since the next one is 392 years from now). But those aren't nearly as funny as February 30.

The really sad part is that neither one of them is even capable of putting the success of their ideological brethren ahead of their own personal gain, much less prioritizing the good of a nation that, on average, only shares half of their views and beliefs.

I'm sick of both major parties because neither one has the good of the nation in mind. Both parties are hell-bent on destroying this nation. One party tells you how to live your life on the assumption that you are an impoverished inner-city derelict who would be glad to turn over all you make and have it redistributed in the form of loaves of bread, while the other one tells you how to live your life on the assumption that you are on the board of directors of a Fortune 500 company and would be glad to let a starving inner-city derelict die if it meant you could afford one more loaf of bread.

Both parties have lists of rights they don't want you to have, as well. One party doesn't want law-abiding citizens to have guns to protect themselves, while the other doesn't want law-abiding citizens to have the privacy and freedom to use words to protect themselves.

One thing that both major parties do have in common, though, is that they want a large, strong federal government, in complete derogation of the very good ideas upon which this nation was founded. One party may want a strong federal government for the purposes of drilling for oil in the Middle East and forcing what they call tort "reform" down our throats, and the other one may want the same thing for the purpose of forcing down our throats comparatively underpaid, low-quality doctors and the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing that we are dying on the same waiting list for our cancer treatment as are those both above and below us in the world.

Then again, I'm not a fan of any of the smaller parties, either. I'm going to form my own political party. With blackjack. And hookers. In fact, forget the politics. Who's on board?

Don't forget that among the first miracles of Christ was turning water into wine. He didn't do this just to prove a point, either. A wedding party ran out of wine, Jesus turned some water into wine so that the party could go on, and the banquet master went so far as to say that it was the best wine of the night.

I once knew someone who tried to argue that wine in the time of Christ meant water that had some wine added to it to make it safe to drink. Just in case anyone reading this thinks that is the case, remember that there was already a word for water that was made safe by adding wine to it: water.

I actually still have buyer's remorse over my Blackberry Pearl because it does not have an external antenna port, and I had become very attached to my SmoothTalker-brand signal booster. I guess my face was too numb from the cold by the time I got back to my office for me to worry about being pissed off at people for having a policy that makes sense.

But the question stands - how much time does a person spend in jury duty out of a given lifetime? Is that really a reason to keep analog cell phone networks alive, especially when non-camera digital phones are widely available, as has been pointed out elsewhere in this thread?

    * - Based on the fact that Obi-Wan had Anakin at his side the entire time he was Obi-Wan's padawan and the fact that Anakin always referred to Obi-Wan as master, meaning that the master-padawan relationship is extremely high-maintenance and could not have existed between Anakin (even if he had been a Jedi master) and any other character without us seeing it on screen.
