Yes, Bush knew beforehand that the Twin Towers would be destroyed and did nothing so that the "Bush family" could make money on oil. He stood by and let thousands (and what could easily have been more like 50 thousand) human beings die in order to make a quick buck.
I am no fan of this administration at all, but it is sad that someone would actually believe something so absurd.

I agree with most of what you said, especially about The Constitution being interpreted too liberally. However, there is a completely different school of thought which says that strictly interpreting only what the founding fathers meant at that time would be incorrect, as it needs to be applied (interpreted) to numerous technologies as well as societal changes that have occurred since it was written.
I am not sure I am making this (important) distinction as clear as I want, but I hope you understand the general meaning.
You still have to "show your papers" in Russia. A policeman can stop anyone at anytime and ask for them to be produced. In Moscow you can only spend three days there, I believe, without special dispensation.
Foreigners/visitors are exempt within the times stamped on their visa.
If you buy a DVD of "The Little Mermaid" do you actually own the little mermaid? Can you resell copies of it? Resell distribution rights?
No, but I can sell my actual copy of the movie. Microsoft tries to claim I can't even sell the original of my software, even if I never use it again myself.
Now if we could only get them to upgrade their web server...slashdotted already.:(

Block webmail sites at your firewall. This can be tedious to do manually, as there are many (and more each day), so try a product like Websense which allows you to block them and get updated "signatures" from the vendor to keep them blocked.
No, I don't work for them. Yes, we are a customer.
I suppose that they could sell boxed copies, but I don't know anyone who actually buys those (I just DL the ISOs).
I buy boxed sets about twice a year, from different linux companies -- SuSE, Red Hat or Mandrake. can I burn the ISOs? Yep, but I like to give back to the community and since I can't code, I buy their products to show my support.
Bravo! Well put. I agree with everything, except for the SUV. I think we give more than enough money to the Saudis and other, mostly corrupt, governments due to our overdependence on oil. Until we have alternatives, I think we should conserve - but for mostly other reasons.
Investors and analysts want an aggressive, cutthroat control freak, and that's what they're going to get, too.
What they don't want is a company engaged in ILLEGAL business practices -- which is what Microsoft has been convicted of. This is FOOLISH behavior on the part of MS.
Unless you meant cuthroat as in "cutting ones own throat..."

Mozilla is not slower on my box then IE is. It has a slightly, and I mean slightly longer initial startup time, which is amazing since the core of IE is already loaded before I click its icon.
MS hasn't done a great job at all. Their browser is a sieve chock full of security holes, and so tightly integrated into the OS, many of those holes are frighteningly dangerous.
They chased netscape for the first 3 versions, then passed them on the fourth version, drove them out of business with bundling, and haven't really done squat with their browser since then. Is IE6 really that much different than IE4? Hardly. Talk about stagnation...but that is what happens when you have no competition to worry about.

You can't change the channel on your TV set?
Odd device you have there.
Because Pop Ups are obnoxiously intrusive. I have no problem with most forms of advertising, but pop ups definitely cross the line.
If my TV stopped playing my show and froze on an ad where I couldn't change the channel, I would throw it out too.
Advertising only works when it is tactful and entertaining, not when it is disruptive and annoying.

As long as there are people, social engineering will work wonderfully.

Earlier versions of SQL server install with a blank SA password by default, I believe, and this is what is at the root (no pun) of the problem.
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing, say it aga...uh, scratch that.
