With that definition, Myth TV really isn't a DVR either. It just can be *part* of a DVR. Considering it has about the same abilities.
Yes, I agree. AFAIK, commercial detection is common in DVR software, not in commercial DVRs.

Ummm, no.... I'm sure many people here are already aware, but if not - check out Beyond TV (http://www.snapstream.com/). The guys over at Snapstream have been doing automatic commercial detection for a while now, and Beyond TV is in the category of a Commercial DVR. And, I'm pretty sure that other companies have been doing it too. This is nothing new - and hasn't yet been a 'killer app'.
I'm not sure if there are any commercial DVR companies including commercial detection, but Snapstream's BeyondTV isn't an example of one. From their website, they make "PC PVR software", not PVRs. Being commercial doesn't change the fact that they make software for DVRs, not actual DVRs.

    Small distinction with big consequences.

The Department of State has employed a multi-layered approach to protect the privacy of the information and to mitigate the chances of the electronic data being skimmed (unauthorized reading) or eavesdropped (intercepting communication of the transmission of data between the chip and the reader by unintended recipients). Metallic anti-skimming material incorporated into the front cover and spine of the e-passport book prevents the chip from being skimmed, or read, when the book is fully closed; Basic Access Control (BAC) technology, which requires that the data page be read electronically to generate a key that unlocks the chip, will prevent skimming and eavesdropping; and a randomized unique identification (RUID) feature will mitigate the risk that an e-passport holder could be tracked. To prevent alteration or modification of the data on the chip, and to allow authorities to validate and authenticate the data, the information on the chip will include an electronic signature (PKI).

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species, and I realised that humans are not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment; but you humans do not. Instead you multiply, and multiply, until every resource is consumed. The only way for you to survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern... a virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer on this planet, you are a plague, and we... are the cure.

I believe you are looking for "The Five Chinese Brothers" by Claire Huchet Bishop. This was one of my favorite stories as a small child. And by the way, it was just a little boy that he was helping to fish - not a prince - that was drowned. The other brothers then trade places when they try and execute the first brother (one couldn't be beheaded, one couldn't be drown, and one couldn't be burned). At least this is how I remember it, I could be wrong on some of the brothers. Anyway, I thought I'd reply even though this thread twig is off-topic. I know I love rediscovering old favorites and thought I would share in case others are the same way.
