This is the problem with open source, since there is more freedom what to do. Often new releases are more fun to do than to fix old broken stuff. Just take a look at KDE and Linux distro releases, they come so often.

Sure - but at rate that Chines workers they are working for now, they need 12 hours work days in order to survive.. that does not buy you similar standard as ~$15/hr + overtime for manuf. jobs in USA.
Finally, manufacturing in USA will be viable option for at least some companies...While in USA labor costs are usually one of biggest expenses for companies, it ain't so in China.
Globalism should aslo mean there is fair labor rate everywhere.

Should they claimed "current graphics is barely tolerable, but previous one sucked 5x time more"? Of course not, but that's the cold truth.
But the point is if you look hard anough you'll find something that has improved a bit, and rest is marketing, all these nice "2x, 5x faster" on Apple's site. Heh, even core 2 duos/quad 2 duos are now whatever-x faster than G5. And back then G5 was dominating intel's offerings at their every benchmark.

Same with pointers, less and less courses offer C/C++ coding. Even if they do, it is not sufficient to get involved in huge project.
So environment is not too interesting, it is actually too difficult for most young developers as these things are not covered too much at class. Let's not forget other thing - laziness - learning all this is not easy. There are other easier devel. env. that do most of work for the developer.
Is having instant purchase. They should integrate ordering system with carriers, so when I click on buy app, it would bill my plan, instead of making me to type my credit card number.
That will increase sales as well. See amazon and their one click patent.
Mr. GM, why do you think people use your service? Nobody else needs gigabytes of data to share with their buddies online - they simply borrow them a DVD, CD or game. No business would date to store some sensitive data here. Simply because business that allows (or is unable to stop it) infringement material to be stored is not a serious business in eyes of many.

There will be some made-up with no real world significance benchmark or statistics how iPhone OS is superior to Android.
Ex. Mac mini now 5x faster in graphic than previous generaiton with intel onboard graphics.
