It's not an either/or proposition douchebag. It's perfectly reasonable to make the point that the USA meddles where it shouldn't meddle, usually fucks it up when they do (see Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) and we should be using our resources to improve America rather than tossing bombs left and right to make the defense industry rich. Just because Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela are worse doesn't mean we don't have plenty to clean up here in the US.

The minority who do care can buy a phone that fits their needs, and maybe they can STFU and quit trying to control everyone else's choices and experience and wrapping it as "open".

It's a risk on their part and on Manning's part (dumb fool should have kept his mouth shut) but he wasn't betraying his country for money or to destroy the United States, he was trying to hold the US accountable for its actions so we start acting with some morals instead of just paying it lip service.

Undoubtably I'll be labeled a traitor now too since I spoke out against my government and they are illegally scouring just about everything under the sun any more for those who dare to ignore official party line!

Not inherently an Android caused problem, but it IS an Android uer's reality. There is something to be said for Apple's approach of free available updates that don't require you to hack your phone to install. It really all depends on how you choose to look at the issue, you can spin this either way, but each platform has good and bad points to it right now. In the end it's Android that seems to be the new Windows (with respect to malware) and the Android lovers are going to have to come to terms with that reality. Luckily you won't have to root your phone to buy McAfee Android Edition and use 30% of your processor power to protect your phone. . . .
