I can tell you from experience that being poor is shitty enough as to be motivation to better your circumstances all by itself. Withdrawing what tiny amount of help is given by people or governments is just going to make the poor bitter, angry, and violent. Very few people are poor because they want to be.
As someone who is currently running Leopard, I have to say I haven't even experienced minor annoyances, let alone major GUI design flaws or critical systems bugs or security issues. Everything runs really smoothly, everything works better than in tiger, and some of the new features (spaces, time machine) are really useful.
Of course, just because something isn't needed, doesn't mean it isn't there. I don't need this laptop, but I definitely have it. I'm not saying that there is a god(I happen to believe the contrary), but just because the universe doesn't need one doesn't mean there isn't one.
But you forget that Bush isn't just generally pro-corporation, regardless of ideology, he's also against the little guy. This way he can satisfy both of his fetishes at once. If there was a way to blame this on North Korea or Iran, it truly would be a white house.
What the hell kind of nerd are you if you can't see the inherent benefits of space exploration? People don't go to the Grand Canyon for profit, they go to see something spectacular, and it's the human desire to see and experience more that will drive space exploration.
You make the classic mistake of confusing GOP with Conservatives, and Dems with liberals. Neither party really represents any sort of real ideology anymore. I am personally a non-partisan liberal, and I vote libertarian fairly frequently, because the democrats don't usually care about actual liberal causes. Of course, I'm poor, so I'm statistically more likely to be liberal anyways.
This is exactly the reason I'm running a "pirated" copy of XP right now. I also have a license for it($18 for students at my university). Using the "legal" version was just such a hassle(wouldn't activate, and MS phone support was no help) I gave up and downloaded a cracked version. It really is only paying customers who suffer because of copy protection schemes, and I won't be paying for another Microsoft product ever, not even at $18.
MPAA = Motion Picture Association of America. RIAA = Recording Industry Association of America. Not surprisingly, the MPAA doesn't prosecute a lot of music cases.
Fucking right I would care if they slapped some money on the table as they were leaving. Especially double what I payed to begin with. Then I could take double my original business elsewhere.

My aunt Tilly actually did switch, although only for a few weeks. Bought a mac after that.
Back when I banked with Chase, they actually deposited my check into somebody else's account, and then wouldn't admit they had done it. It took a couple of weeks and a lot of phone calls to get it sorted out, and in the mean time I had to be late on a payment because my money wasn't in my account. Did they cover my late fee? I think not.
Oh, I'm so sorry. We were looking for China. Contemporary Communist China.
Hope you have facts to back that up, or its bordering on libel.
You are correct: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson#Religious_views
How did an obviously racist comment get modded +3 informative? Funny, maybe, but informative?

Sure, that sounds fine, but it'd probably never work...

I actually installed firefox immediately upon getting my macbook pro. It is my primary browser, though I currently run the Safari 3 beta.

Note the word "and" used in "on raw materials cost and currency fluctuation." Typically, this means that it is a combination of the two.
For example, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich contains both peanut butter, as well as jelly.
iPhone definitely texts. Everybody texts here too.
It would appear that today is still your day.

It's not a very commonly used word here in the States either.

Given the name, one would think so. However, it's mainly an ipod with a web browser, that also happens to make phone calls.
Why the hell would you shell out $600 for just a phone?
There, fixed it for you.
