    Why would you do that? Fire, healthcare, police etc. are the governments responsibility.

    If a Gov't agency put out an RFQ for AutoCAD, do they really have to entertain a quote from Google Sketch?

    Maybe they're not supposed to put out an RFQ for specific programs, but rather specific functionality and make sure that retraining is included if applicable.

    I would think he means that his employer only permits the use of CentOS in a testing environment. Are you going to try and force them to put CentOS in their production environment with the GPL in hand? They're gonna love you.

    Yeah, MCSEs give 'advanced' support... Extremely few Microsoft consultants have the deep knowledge of Windows that Red Hat has of Linux.

    False. Sony and Nintendo had created a partnership for the CD addon and of course would share both expenses and profits. The arrangement was similar to the Sony/Phillips arrangement (they both bore the cost of developing the Audio CD). Then Nintendo decided they didn't want a CD addon after all because it would be too easy to pirate the games, so they jumped ship, leaving Sony with all the incurred debt.

    False. Sony had a deal that in essence gave them control and Nintendo naturally didn't want that and canceled the deal. They also made a deal with Phillips. It's not like it's poor old Sony here, they're bastards and the way you're trying to portray it is Nintendo just did it for shits and giggles. They didn't-

    Actually, RHEL and CentOS have still yet to release a fix. So for your average Linux sysadmin out there, there still isn't an easy-to-use fix. Well, besides Ksplice anyway.

    RHEL/CentOS wasn't affected, so they really don't have to release a fix.

    Since it has no 32-bit emulation layer, this is probably one of the few 64-bit linux not affected (without a patch).

    Yeah, except every singe RHEL deployment out there, because it was not affected by the bug.

    If I remember correctly, for a long time there have been 32 bit and 64 bit flash plugins for Windows while Linux only had 32 bit versions

    I'm fairly certain that Windows has not had a 64bit version before now. GNU/Linux was the first operating system that got an early 64bit beta from Adobe.
