    We were walking in the mall in Orland Park, IL so just for fun we go into the apple store and change the back grounds on about half a dozen laptops to the microsoft logo, and the homepages to microsoft.com. Yes we are all nerds.

    It also has ASLR, and a far better implementation of it than either Linux or OS X (as evidenced by pwn2own results).

    This is a complete and utter lie. In 2008 the only system left standing was Ubuntu, and since then no GNU/Linux has been in the contest. So you need to remove Linux from your list there, cowboy. As for your other points, I wouldn't trust a liar like you about anything.

I did read through some EULAs and stuff, and I can't find the BSD or MIT license anywhere, so if people are assuming correctly, then Sony is actually breaking the BSD license, which takes some talent when it's so easy to understand. But just because a bunch of geeks believe it doesn't make it true, so a disassembly of the system firmware might be needed to ever know the truth.

    I know you're just a troll but I can't resist. First of all, Linux and RHEL in particular, runs on actual servers. You know, those computers Apple slowly are phasing out? Xserve is gone, and Mac Pro server is soon to follow. And, Linux pisses on Mac OS X when it comes to market share on servers. Lastly, it's Mac users that are used to swallow other guys 'pride', so just stick to what you're best at: Sucking cock.

    Maybe Apple believes they have such a stellar development team that they can replicate what a huge community and several other companies does completely alone.. That'd explain why they've done such an amazing job with their file manager(Christfuck Finder is brain damaged in so many ways it should be a criminal offense).

    I fully support your right to put restrictions on how I can modify or distribute something you created. Calling these restrictions "liberty," however, is just Orwellian doublespeak.

    You don't have the 'liberty' to enslave other people either. Restrictions sometimes limit the liberty someone might take away from other people.

    I work for an authorized Mac sales and service center; our Mac specialist had to use a heat gun to take the screen/glass off on a Macbook Air.

    Really? Unless you're in china/india wherever they send their parts for repair, you'd replace the whole display unit. There's not one single AASP that removes the display with a heatgun.

    This I find interesting, if the UNIX patents aren't included.. What is? Are we talking identity management, groupware or something else? in that case, if Microsoft are suddenly sitting on a bunch of groupware patents, what's going to happen to scalix, zimbra, ox, kerio and others that might infringe on the patents? And if we disregard patents, what about the UNIX copyright? Everyone's talking about patents, but aren't the SCO/Novell/IBM/Red Hat trials about copyright/contracts?

    The first one came with the Mac, so if you started on 10.4 you needed to buy 10.5 and 10.6 - so that's $129 for 10.5 and $29 for 10.6. $158 over 4 years is not too bad I think.

    And they were full versions of the operating system. No 'basic' 'home basic' 'home premium' etc.

    Assange would never go to Norway to get the Nobel Peace Prize, since the Norwegians might extradite him to the U.S. like the Swedes.

    Norway has repeatedly denied extraction to the U.S since we consider their prisons to have way to low standards and the death penalty to be a cruel punishment. Norway would be way safer than Sweden.

    What? The BSDs and especially FreeBSD has well maintained manpages and a very comprehensive handbook. How can you possibly claim they lack documentation? They're by far better than most Linux distributions in this regard.
