Okay, that's a great story and all, but it needs some updating. Tony Martin was released from jail in July of 2003 (shooting occurred in August of 1999) after his life sentence had been reduced because of him supposedly suffering from paranoid personality disorder. The one burglar did attempt to sue, but also dropped that. Tony Martin also supposedly sold his story for 125,000 pounds.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with your story, just making sure it is updated appropriately.
Have you ever played a GTA game? Specifically San Andreas? The game was something like a 100 square miles large, had missions all over the place, heck, you could micromanage your characters body fat if you wanted. That game had a ton of depth.
I actually just watched Pan's Labyrinth last night for the first time and thought it was pretty good. Never seen any of his other movies though.
I wonder if the Hobbit will also have random and unexpected acts of detailed violence? Bilbo smashes the face in of the last dwarf that enters his house with a tea pot? Gandalf shoots some fire through the stony trolls' heads to make sure they're really dead? That human hero gives the Smegol an even wider smirk, literally?
I kid, but that stuff really threw me for a loop in what I thought was a kid's fantasy movie set in WWII.
Between 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5 there were/are huge changes in the language and libraries, some which broke some of our applications because they went ahead and deprecated some functionality. We recently upgraded a 2500 class project from 1.4.2 to 1.5. Nothing was broken because of deprecation. Actually, that seems impossible to me since deprecating in Java still allows you to access the method/class, you just get warnings. They did actually remove a method from the String class which took us a whole one minute to track down and replace with a cast. For our thousands of test files we only had one problem.
Plus most of the popular pages on the English wikipedia are about busty "actresses" and sex positions. If the German wiki is anything like that, the pictures are going to be too small to enjoy.
The original Spiderman movie was set to release right around 9/11 but was delayed because you could see them in the background. Maybe they were even featured, wouldn't it have made sense to have Spidey capture something large in a giant web between the towers?
I also worked at Staples the night of 9/11 and we got a whole list of games to take off the shelves from corporate. Flight Simulator topped it off, don't remember any others, but it's not like anyone came in that night asking for them either. I'm pretty sure they were back on the shelf by the end of the week, if not sooner.
Because a 5.2 magnitude earthquake in the Midwest is the equivalent of California sliding into the Pacific Ocean for said residents. It makes for one crazy day where no one gets any work done on the job.
Well, except if the guy who packaged the torrent rar'ed them into little rar pieces making it impossible to download individual files/episodes. I refuse to even go near those split rars anymore.
I agree with you that BT can only go up, but downloading using Bit Torrent is generally a passive action while watching Youtube is comparably more active. With BT, you find the torrent you want and start it off - minutes to hours to days later it is done. Youtube, however, is generally an active action on your part. Most Youtube videos are short so if you're on their site for say half an hour, you're doing a whole lot more compared to what you're doing with Bit Torrent.
Well, it's quite easy to rip just the main movie from my discs for backups, saves a lot of space and you can generally get them on single layer discs without much compression. I'm sure the same thing will be available for Blu-Ray eventually. From everything I hear, having backups is a virtual requirement for when you have kids, and I have my first on the way, so I'm getting prepared.
Microsoft was really only backing HD-DVD to make Sony spend a lot of money, they weren't going to let them grab up the next disc standard that easy. Microsoft never really had a commitment to HD-DVD, they never packaged it with the Xbox 360 and never came close to spending the kind of money Sony did to ink deals with the studios. Microsoft was screwing over their customers the whole time because they knew from the start that yes, it would be great if they could become the standard, but they weren't going to spend the money to do it that would be required to win a format war.
They really were banking on digital downloads. They have been available for at least a year and a half on the Xbox Live Marketplace and have many similar deals that Blu-Ray has with studios, including Disney.
Yes, there's really no reason to believe that these dumb zombies in the movie all of a sudden were able to build a trap just like Neville's and were smart enough to lure him away with the mannequin. While watching I was just assuming Neville had moved the mannequin and set that trap, and was going so crazy from being alone (and had set so many traps) that he forgot all of that.
I really didn't like the movie, the best part was the way they transformed New York City, that was pretty incredible.
I would recommend reading the book, Matheson went pretty deep into all the reasonings behind why certain vampire wards work. Plus it is all written really well and has a much better ending. It's short and sweet.
I've been experiencing this for at least a week, exactly how the article described. I had no idea where to attribute the problem, thinking my router might be dying or something, but this is pretty clear now. I'm just glad that I'll be moving out of the Comcast area in the next few months. YAY!
Well, they technically win, but there are really two types of zombies/vampires. The intelligent type that wants to be civilized and the crazy, non-thinking type that just want blood and flesh. They're fighting each other, and it appears that the first group is winning. But since Robert Neville was killing them indiscriminately during the day, the intelligent group feared Neville more than the dumb vampires. So they went for him at the end and captured him. A sympathizer gives him the death pill so he can die in peace without being subjected to everything this group of vampires would do to him. His final thought is that he's a legend among this new human race, and forever will be.
Much better ending than the movie. And I still think it's appropriate for film. The viewer probably will start to sympathize with the intelligent vampires near the end, because of the compassionate woman and because they are an acceptable replacement for the human race.
Well, there are eight mailboxes at the end of Oakridge Lane, that doesn't seem that private and there's no gate or private drive sign to ward off drivers. Also it looks like the street view extends to their driveway simply because they built their house at the end of the road.

The department is usually a total throwaway that I don't even bother reading it. Kind of like most articles.
Since you're already anonymous, why not reveal who your crappy provider was so we know who to avoid?
Just don't read that pop-up book about two girls and a cup.

You created Portal in the 80's! It could have been you having your cake and eating it too.

Just wait until Hardy Heron comes out in a week!

It is pretty cool, and there was actually a story on Slashdot a few years back.
DMCA vs. The Sewing Underground
Disney doing Phillip K. Dick? That's pretty interesting. Rotoscoped 3D CGI?
I dunno, his comment about West Virginia was kind of funny. I only say that because I didn't get it, so I assume it was a joke.
