Are there exactly good reasons to buy the very expensive enterprise 10k rpm drives over consumer drives besides the little speed increase (and usually a big space decrease as well) ?
What about support from the IT department? It surely is easier to make sure laptops (if they're the same model) work properly and are easier to repair as well.
Hehehehe, I've had the exact opposite experience. Laptops are a bitch to repair. Yes, even with Dell business support.
You forget the book that teaches you phonetic symbols and how to pronounce them based on common words in your native tongue. That can go very wrong if you're living in a very strong dialect region.
Evolution, like you say, is a process. It doesn't have an opinion. It doesn't have a goal. Humans will keep evolving, and each generation will be a little bit better adapted to survive and br ed than the last. Your opinion on the way that happens is irrelevant.
This is not completely true, evolution doesn't have an endgoal like your reply seems to imply.
He made the point that IP are useful because patents document an invention, information otherwise lost. He brings the example of Violin vs. Saxophone.
I think his intention is correct, but should be solved by open standards as documentation, not patents.
They waited for Adolph Sax to die in the gutters so they could manufacture his instrument for free. Same thing happened with the creator of the tv iirc.
We've machines here that need MS DOS 5.x not 6.x. Win 3.11 and Windows 9x are also still required for a lot of stuff.

I beg to differ. Intelligence is 50/50 genetic predisposition and education imho (the ratio could be off though).

What about log rotating ?
This explosive always reminded me of the 'purple haze' scene in apocalypse now
Is it In-tie-ger or in-te-ger ?
Is it Die-caid or De-cad?
I've heard both of them by prominent native speakers.

Huh, Northwood was a big improvement over Willamette !
AMD does provide a nice cpu upgrade path though.
The optiplex 790 is a weird beast no ? It's got that laptop powerbutton and a laptop dvd drive.
How about releasing the exact same version with only the branding changed.
Any advantage of this over say RCS ( which I still use ) or svn, git,hg ?
Well I do think so, it's also pretty consistent in my opinion.
What really annoys me is the mixed BSD/GNU userland though.
Quite the ego you've got there.
How do you define business class boards ?
Server sockets eg xeon, opteron only ?
Why do you put so much faith into sandboxie ?
Huh, when i google memory ecc prices i'm getting convinced of the opposite.
Don't forget the big ass (multi-touch) touchpad that works !

Your name is buttmaster !
I think this is a line from 'malcolm in the middle'.

What about VLC ?
Offtopic: Have you tried awesome and if so why did you settle for dwm ?
