    extincted species, and many kids have since everybody loves dinosaurs

    but i always thought it were solely the people of the netherlands who were responsible for
    the demise of the dodo race, since well to be frank ... they have no taste when it comes to food imo

    i'm not sure about this but don't they have to reimplement changes done to the 3.2.x line
    eg backport them to the old codebase ? so they can't benefit directly to the new changes in the samba package ?

    samba is a biggy and pretty vital to Novel and their deal since most interoperatiblity between windows machines
    and *Nix machines is provided through this service, so iirc Novel will have to fork samba

    that's maybe how linus wants it but ffs
    many of use slackware users use home brew vanilla kernels
    on another note i really don't have any problems with the 2.6.x line of kernels
    they perform excellent for me, the only that annoys me is the huge list op options
    which makes it sometimes very cumbersome to build the right kernel

    Illinois Congestion control is helpful with network games as that tends to spike my connection.
    i don't think so since most network games use UDP and not TCP

    i saw this chart which iirc eventually meant every core on the amd can be controlled
    frequency wise and vcore wise although i'm not sure about the latter

    i always wanted to be a geek programmer
    those guys were someone
    they programmed in front of hydrants
    ....
    and if someone complained
    they were hacked so bad they would fear electronics for the rest of their lives

    anyhow there are enough oddities in the story that unreasonable doubt is pretty certain, if this is all there is to it anyway
    i hope he gets out tho because let's face it the OSS community has dropped him like a stone, and that's just not right imho
    and it doesn't change the fact that reiserfs is pretty revolutionary although i have had experiences with it

    that's not completely true it's just a lot harder to find the pearls within this massive amount of noise that is blasted at us everyday trying to find stuff like this http://www.sunzoomanley.com/audio/-e-what.html is very hard nowadays i stumbled upon them by accident when relaxing at the 'chateau krapul' (lounge room) at the pukkelpop festival in 2001 i thank god for that moment everyday :D

    i think security has been enhanced by win xp over win 95/95 since in XP you at least have some
    form of user seperation and the advantages of having an nt kernel while in win95/98
    the user and all processes had total control of the system IIRC

    can somebody explains this
    the article says and i quote:

    i don't get this i always thought freebsd used ipfw and not pf as its packet filter, so what does this mean?
    has the author made a mistake or has freebsd's native ipfw been replaced by a pc-bsd's implementation of OBSD's pf ?
    or is ipfw essentially a pf fork as well? or am i just plain wrong, can someone please explain

    Plants simply don't do as well in green houses as they do in nature. Yeah, you can get close with careful application of various fertilizers and chemicals, but then it isn't organic anymore
    first of all i agree with you, plants do better in nature and yes with fertilizers,chemicals,... PRODUCTION can be put on par
    but you know what's so great about having your own home grown fruit,vegetables: taste! Most farms in this day and age
    do a lot of controlled hydro and it just doesn't taste the same
    nature is the greatest chemist and out of its great diversity comes the good taste
    at least that's what i believe :D, although i really hate people depicting fertilizers to be nonorganic (i'm not talking about insecticides)
