i agree why is this modded up so high ffs
everybody on/. knows that one needs some sysinternals tools: filemon,diskmon,procexp,pagedefrag,... to make windows at least bearable
i know but still the giant irish elk is also a very famous example if you've ever opened a child's book about
extincted species, and many kids have since everybody loves dinosaurs
but i always thought it were solely the people of the netherlands who were responsible for the demise of the dodo race, since well to be frank... they have no taste when it comes to food imo
i'm not sure about this but don't they have to reimplement changes done to the 3.2.x line
eg backport them to the old codebase ? so they can't benefit directly to the new changes in the samba package ?
samba is a biggy and pretty vital to Novel and their deal since most interoperatiblity between windows machines
and *Nix machines is provided through this service, so iirc Novel will have to fork samba
that's maybe how linus wants it but ffs
many of use slackware users use home brew vanilla kernels
on another note i really don't have any problems with the 2.6.x line of kernels
they perform excellent for me, the only that annoys me is the huge list op options which makes it sometimes very cumbersome to build the right kernel
can you i ask you something ?
how come bill maher can seemingly voice conference live over satellite without lag
or choppy motion (low fps). i just don't get it it seems like magic to me:D
moderators seem to be very harsh today
this should be moderated funny imho (the tomatoes part made it funny)
on another note i hope this chip is killer because it deserves to be !
i saw this chart which iirc eventually meant every core on the amd can be controlled
frequency wise and vcore wise although i'm not sure about the latter
this story has everything:
intrigue, mystery, a freak that makes charlie manson clap, russian mob, sex, drugs...
fuck it when is the movie coming out. ray liota would be perfect for the role of hans reiser, i can see it now
as far as i can remember
i always wanted to be a geek programmer
those guys were someone
they programmed in front of hydrants ....
and if someone complained
they were hacked so bad they would fear electronics for the rest of their lives
anyhow there are enough oddities in the story that unreasonable doubt is pretty certain, if this is all there is to it anyway
i hope he gets out tho because let's face it the OSS community has dropped him like a stone, and that's just not right imho
and it doesn't change the fact that reiserfs is pretty revolutionary although i have had experiences with it
that's not completely true
it's just a lot harder to find the pearls within this massive amount of noise that is blasted at us everyday
trying to find stuff like this http://www.sunzoomanley.com/audio/-e-what.html is very hard nowadays
i stumbled upon them by accident when relaxing at the 'chateau krapul' (lounge room) at the pukkelpop festival in 2001
i thank god for that moment everyday:D
those are my last 4 albums i purchased which fall in he class of recent music, offcorse everybody should have some good oldies: like pink floyd, the doors,...
but a major leap backwards when it comes to security
care to explain ? i think security has been enhanced by win xp over win 95/95 since in XP you at least have some form of user seperation and the advantages of having an nt kernel while in win95/98 the user and all processes had total control of the system IIRC
can somebody explains this
the article says and i quote:
and it includes things such as automatically setting up the OpenBSD PF (Packet Filter) firewall, which it refers to as the Personal Firewall. Same letters in the acronym... very clever.
i don't get this i always thought freebsd used ipfw and not pf as its packet filter, so what does this mean? has the author made a mistake or has freebsd's native ipfw been replaced by a pc-bsd's implementation of OBSD's pf ? or is ipfw essentially a pf fork as well? or am i just plain wrong, can someone please explain
Plants simply don't do as well in green houses as they do in nature. Yeah, you can get close with careful application of various fertilizers and chemicals, but then it isn't organic anymore
first of all i agree with you, plants do better in nature and yes with fertilizers,chemicals,... PRODUCTION can be put on par
but you know what's so great about having your own home grown fruit, vegetables: taste! Most farms in this day and age do a lot of controlled hydro and it just doesn't taste the same nature is the greatest chemist and out of its great diversity comes the good taste at least that's what i believe:D, although i really hate people depicting fertilizers to be nonorganic (i'm not talking about insecticides)

it's the largest recorded sand storm known to man, i suppose
what about chello, skynet/belgacom, tiscali, dommel, telenet, upc, belnet (not for regular consumers tho) ...
