i have contact with alot of indian collegues on a daily basis. One of my favorite of there mangled hinglish phrases is 'do the needful'
As in ' if you send me an email with your request, i will do the needful'
No amount of correcting will get them to stop saying it as they have been taught from a young age that this is the correct english phrase. Since everyone else in India agrees with them i suppose they are right!
A helmet full of God. You just pop it on your head and pray all day. I want it all, folks. I want it all and I want it now and I'm gonna get it with or without your help. I think you know what I'm talking about. I think you hear me knocking and I think I'm coming in and you know what? I'm already wearing the God helmet. ''
In other news, how long till the Fundementalists nickname this thing 'The Hellmet'?
of the two dell inspirons i have owned, both have had an option in the bios to activate some sort of tracking module, that i believe phones home reguarly to combat theft. it was a matter of once its activated you cant (aparently) turn it off, so i never did turn it on, but i assumed that it must run independently of the OS as it was activated in the bios.
in the UK, (not sure where you are) we have services such as typetalk which allow deaf/hard of hearing people to make calls to standard telephones via a third party operator. I had assumed this sort of service was avaliable elsewhere. Is it?
My understanding that type talk is a free service here.
creativity is going to be limited to those few that can afford to host large video files. Ive seen a few good possible solutions that take a bittorrent like approach and utilise peoples upstream to reduce the server load.

I work in a bookies in Norwich and i can tell you the idiocy of the shop worker is nothing compared to the idiocy of the customer. I have a number of regular punters who have gotten sick of continually entering their pin to pay for their bets so now they have me enter it in for them, they also leave their cards with me. It makes using MY chip and pin very difficult as i can never remember which pin is mine!
orbiting Beta Canis Majoris.... Lets turn this thing off! No one is out there listening!
