I'm glad my passport expired. I won't be travelling to your country any more -- your gestapo scares me.

Gestapo is such a harsh word our friends in the Government would probably prefer an acronym something like:
    E.M.E.P

    Elite
    Moral
    Enforcement
    Protectorate

or some other garbage that would make the average US Citizen feel safe and secure.

bah, the US is becoming more of a bad Hollywood movie akin to Demolition Man Every day !.

True, but why not send that same money to develop a card that is open source and can do the same thing as the Nvidia or Ati cards can 3D wise but useing open spec'ed graphics chips that are designed for Open Gl from the git go.

I know i read some where back in 2004 I think about a company that was attempting to do just that, maybe if they are still doing it talking to them about supporting PCI-E would be possible ?.

Well I did not mean to sound so harsh towards the Acer they gave out but it would seem to be under powered for an OS such as Vista,Unless it was a stripped down version of it such as the office edition or something like that.

As for cost I think Toshiba is a little on the High side too but for 2,000 dollars it would have been a better match for Vista I think (I maybe wrong though) couple that with the fact I have never had good luck with anything Acer at all Laptop or Desktop.

but hey if i could get one for free i would take in a heart beat my kid would love it and it would save me money too.

After all Microsoft gave it to them for thier part in spreading the word about Vista, so they should be able to do as they please with the damn thing.

Hell it's not like Acer is top of the line or anything, it would have been more of a real incentive to give a Toshiba laptop better quality IMHO.

If i were in Novells shoes i would have been a little more than wary of anything Microsoft was offering just because of their track record at screwing everyone on a moments notice.

But i would not call the Article stupid by any means i think the author did at great job at holding my attention just by adding a little bit of good ol fashion conclusion drawing but in a dramatic way.

    thats my 2 cents.

Well i can say that for the last couple of months or so Nvidia and Ati have been showing some very impressive progress in their offerings. but you know what would impress me more ?

well i will tell you, i would be more impressed if they could develop a video card that has a common seris socket for the GPU and Ram like a Motherboard that way i can upgrade the Chip and the ram like i do with my computer !.

i mean come on Nvidia already has a Unified Driver Architecture so why not that too, a card like that would cost effective and can be made in various styles just like computer motherboards are right now that way you can truely build everything from scratch.

Okay i am done dreaming, some can come along and tell me all of the things wrong with this idea and how flawed my thinking is.
