I dunno, it's not exactly the same, but I would say her experience as first lady for 8 years and the governors wife for however many years before then counts for something. No one calls Hilary a political novice.
Yeah, if you don't live in the band's area, you aren't really going to get a chance to support them except every few years. And a lot of my favorite bands don't do large tours.
Primaries are always fun, if only because you get to watch each party attack itself for awhile before making their pick and pretending all that never happened.
The relative value of a Euro to a Dollar is not the best indication of an outperforming economy. Look at GDP growth or the unemployment ratio among others
For starters, you give the government money, and some point in time later (a year later?), you get it back. And you get it back AFTER filling out paperwork, which can often be confusing (hey, it's tax time now...) You have a point. On a completely unrelated note, boy I can't wait till I my tax refund.
You really should read more about the actual proposals for fair (and flat) taxes. Most of your arguments are addressed there. Such as the national dividend that your child (and my brother/sister) poster mentioned. Your other arguments seem to be attacking supporters which is generally bad form.
As always, wikipedia is a good place to start.
anyone else see the similarities between what the DOJ is asking ISP's to do with retaining customer data, and what is already asked of gun store owners, which is to retain all their records of gun purchases? I don't want the govt coming for my uploads or my guns.
Plus from what I understand, there is no warming in Antarctica.
A new report on climate over the world's southernmost continent shows that temperatures during the late 20th century did not climb as had been predicted by many global climate models.
Also lead to an increase in pedestrian fatalities from being hit by cars, because with people less likely to die in a car crash, they started driving more recklessly, thus more pedestrians getting hit by cars.
Stuff like this is called the law of unintended consequences. You can see it in the price of corn tortillas tripling because of corn ethanol subsidies also.
Wait, isn't this slashdot, where everyone touts the evils of patents and how they are restrictive and useless. But now when we have a drug that has already had it's patent run out and now might be effictive against cancer, it will never be made because there's no way to patent it? I'm confused, are patents good or bad?
Profit is income that is not derived from work, but from investment of money. People who take profits take money that rightfully belongs to others who actually worked for it. There is a reason Jesus got angry at the money lenders in the temple. There is a reason that lending money for profit was considered a sin. You've just described how our society has created exponentially more wealth than in the history of the world in a fraction of the time of that history. You've also described the process that has lifted more people out of poverty than any religion or govt work ever.
Jesus was a cool guy, but that doesn't mean you have to believe everything he said or did was right. Well unless you worship the guy maybe.:)

I agree, in fact I think most of my myspace friends are bands.

Um, didn't Obama just get elected for the first time in 2004?
As for the rest, can we stop calling people we don't like fascists? The word has lost almost all meaning now.

Why did your emplyees ejactulate into my grandmother's milkshake?
In the Terminator seeds' defense, the other seeds were of the "Connor" family of seeds.
No not really, I was trying to make a point that the rebate process the parent poster suggested wouldn't work is the exact description of tax refunds.
I'm actually only getting $7 back this year, so I feel pretty good about not giving the govt a free loan.

Wouldn't it also be made evident by the shorter "talk time" than "stand-by time" for phones?
Armchair Economist?
