Why single out RCTV when there were other stations that did they same things they did in regards to the coup? Because RCTV is the only station still critical of Chavez.

"Opponents say the decision is evidence that Mr. Chávez's definition of the enemy has been enlarged to include news media outlets that are critical of his government. Otherwise, say detractors like Teodoro Petkoff, the editor of the small opposition newspaper Tal Cual, Mr. Chávez would have also decided not to renew the licenses of Venevisión and Televen, networks whose coverage similarly supported the 48-hour coup in 2002. Those networks have become far less critical of Mr. Chávez, while RCTV has maintained its criticism.

Oh yeah, he's not blocking them at all. From wikipedia

RCTV may continue broadcasting over cable or DTH systems (DirecTV Latin America) when its license expires, but the government will take over the equipment, studios and even the master control for their use in the new station it has created on May 27, 2007. On May 24, the Supreme Court ordered RCTV to stop broadcasting as soon as its license expires and approved the government's takeover of all of its equipment and stations, though it would review the station's appeal of the decision. Chávez announced plans to start broadcasting a public service channel, TVes, using this infrastructure which belonged to RCTV.[14] The Supreme Court ruled that RCTV's broadcasting equipment must be available to TVes. The ruling also ordered the military to guard the equipment. This allows TVes to be available in the same locations where RCTV used to broadcast.[15]
So yes, they can still air on satellite, they just have to come up with the money to buy all new equipment and studios. No problem right? They'll still air on what...?

DirecTV Venezuela has substituted RCTV with TVes on 104.[16]
    Oh, I guess not...

I've been thinking the exact same thing for years. I loved the SciFi friday night line up of SG1, Atlantis, and BSG, but damnit, Fridays from 7-9pm? Are they trying to get me to never watch it? The first thing I did when starting me new job and moving out on my own after college was get a dvr so I could actually watch these shows without having to download them all the time.

I don't know much about nielson and tv ratiings but they simply must somehow take into account dvr viewing when making their ratings or else they will be continually move and more distorted by the publics increasing use of dvr technology.

And really man, it's a comic. It's purpose isn't to present a well argued thesis on the socio-political aspects of third world micro-lending. It was supposed to be funny. It went with the assumption that is held by a majority of people, and 99% of the experts that 9/11 being an inside job is a conspiracy. You're looking to build stawman to easily take down to more easily confirm your own doubts and prejudices with. It's just a comic man, if you want the other side of the argument, seek it out. I'm not gonna tell you the NIST report is perfect and 100% right, it was made by humans, with non limited time and non limited resources, there's sure to be errors and omissions, but that still doesn't change the fact that it is the most plausible explanation by leaps and bounds over anything anyone's presented.

Dude, it was burning for over 6 hours. They knew it was going to collapse. At around 4pm, they pulled the firefighters out of there, and waited until it collapsed around 5:30pm. That the BBC jumped the gun slightly doesn't discount the piles of evidence that explain it collapsed from fires and internal damage from the planes and WTC1&2 debris.

There could be many explanations, but holistically, the standard theories of the "truthers", namely controlled demolitions and directed energy beams, to say nothing of the wackier theories such as the holographic plane theory, or "It was magick!" simply are not based in fact, and have numerous holes. The fact is that the "official explanation" as it's called and the NIST report is the best explanation given all the known facts.

The workaround probably involved moving the blackboard domain to trusted sites and maybe making some changes with the security settings.

Half of all cuba's exports earnings are from sugar. Cuba used to supply 35% of the world's sugar, but now only 10% (though that's still a lot for a little island). The decline is primarily due to the price of sugar dropping 58%. Therefore if sugar was used for ethanol, it's price would increase like corn's price is doing now, and Cuba's sugar exports would approach previous highs.

Which is all to say, there's not really anything wrong with that. Sugar is better at making ethanol than corn by a longshot, and there's nothing wrong with a little national self interest, even from zombie communists :P
