hmm more name calling.. come on. you can do better than loony. I mean really now.
How about an Anagram of your screen name: Dry Elf Ear or A Led Ferry
have a good one Red.. type at you later
"you're wrong" because you can't read, or comprehend what you do "read"... example, your Quoted text about Malware proved my point about Sony's DRM not being Malware as defined by the US. Thanks for helping prove my point that Sonys DRM did not disrupt operation, or gather info that lead to a loss of anything.
and in my post about your maturity, the maturity part was after I pointed things out. So yet again, you fail, but keep the topic alive. I am happy to write back every morning about your faults. And yes I may be a bit insane, but my agruments ring true.
Oh BTW, Your statements are could be construed as trolling since they have lacked any type of intelligent logic in them.
FYI Sony does rule.. the only thing they ever did badly was Beta Max tapes;-)
after working for over 5 years at a help desk/ net work admin area I always thought those that had two was silly.. but now working as a Customer Service Admin with people working under me i need to manage, having two for the last 4 years has made it so that is all i want at home. Even when working on my "Laptop" (in quotes because it is a Qosmio 18.4'' beast that doesn't go well on your lap) I always look to the right to where my 2nd one at work would be whenever I open a new Browser.;-)
Have two in this line of work helps a lot for programming docs as well. I can put the data i want to use on the left.. then on the 2nd monitor i can Rotate the desktop to view a Loan Document in full page view as i am programming in Java and such on that doc.
(also with it tilted, it is great to read Tech Websites like Slashdot)
You are still replying to this?
FYI - ad hominem : adjective 1. appealing to one's prejudices, emotions, or special interests rather than to one's intellect or reason. 2. attacking an opponent's character rather than answering his argument.
I said your language is improper - after I Answered your arguments. so you fail in your poor attempt to call me out. After all this it sounds like you only read what you want to and only retain what you what to think and not what the full story is. (also this is coming from the guy with "Trolls" in his tag line hmm) Either way.. just you thinking a that their rootkit was Malware doesn't make it so.. I believe that I am Spider-Man, does that make me a Super Hero? I believe that Slashdot is better than Edgadget.com.. does that make it so? maybe it does.
Have an awesome day Red Flayer! it has been fun typing to you.
I guess you only remember what you want to..
"The included software interferes with the normal way in which the Microsoft Windows operating system plays CDs by installing a rootkit which creates vulnerabilities for other malware to exploit. "
So if you can read that Sony didn't install and or infect ANYONE with malware.. you must be not an adult as your language is quiet improper for posting on Slashdot .
I agree it was bad of Sony to put that on those music CDs, but they didn't made the worms and malware that actually effected people.. you might as well blame Microsoft for the same thing under your blanket statements.
oh that wasn't a troll comment.. and if it was, it worked as you replied. but you still have no Proof that Sony did anything bad ever. cool. more points to Sony.
___
His Power level is over 1million.
FYI - It was re-released in 1998 for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers and in 2009 on the PlayStation Network.
and yes the 2009 version has updated graphics for wide screens.
pics or it didn't happen on - "deliberately infected machines with malware" & "They have a record of producing shitty stuff (like exploding batteries)"
"They failed to take proper precautions to protect personal information."
they did have protection.. every co has protection in place.. even Bank of America got hacked and user info taken.. so did they not have precautions in place? yes they did, but hackers are hackers and know ins and outs of PCs.. why do you think GeoHotz is now working for Sony, so he can show them what he did and how to stop it. Two of my good friends from school, both got caught by the FBI, but now have high paying jobs with AT&T and the Federal Gov.
hhahahehehehhahhhahahaha.. man you made me choke on my drink with that comedy. you should take that act on the road. Even if they could scrub your info,, it has already been taken and put out there. Sony didn't blow anything either.. sounds like you are the one on your knees.
FFVII for real? serious? didnt you get the updated one already? but still.. FF is a good idea... maybe give us all FFXIV for free for a few months that would be fun. I beta tested it and wouldnt mind playing it again. (but i will NOT pay to play a MMO)
there are ways around it.. quick Google searches show there is a way even with the new update to get something running.. but you didn't hear it from me..;-0
I do play network games, but not those lame first person shooters. I have been happily playing my FF XIII and Move games while the network is down. But I do miss sending messages to friends and family (it is one of the only ways I talk with my Dad).
Two free games is okay.. but what if i had already paid for said games.. other posts are correct, we should be able to choose what games we want.. or Sony should just fill everyone's Wallet with $40 so we can not only get a game or two, but also maybe an add-on or new levels to other games. Also that would help Sony because the developers were upset no one could buy their games for over a month.
with the two free games we should all also get PS Plus for as many days as the outage so that people will also get discounts for buying games and get the fun demos and such.
Sony I love you.. Hackers, i love you (because i guess i am one too), but get your act together and take down the X-box network. that would be awesome.
I'm sticking with Bill Gates all the way. Windows is not flawed. My systems never crash. and I would rather do my own system maintenance than relay on some other company, in particular a search engine co, that would most likely sell my info off to make coin. And I highly doubt that corporate America would use it since banks don't even use Apple because they are not secure (and highly effected my magnets still too).
someone wasted their time on that. I want to sue blizzard for the hours i used up trying to get that lame game to work in the first place. once i got in to play, it was the clunkiest pile of poop ever. I really hope they had been spending their good time and money on Diablo 3 then, because playing Star Craft II, it makes me want to stab my eyes out and go back 10 years to when that type of game was relevant.
Geocities was great for its time. i had a small site on there to point to my real website i had hosted over at ACV. But with Geocities, people were able to create and manage a web page with out much knowlage of HTML. Connect and stay in contact with friends, update your status, and have music playing.. all sounds like what MySpace did.. just they revamped it for the new age. And in 5 years i would say MySpace and will be shutting down too.
the fonts on 8 are so different then the 7 version i had to uninstall IE8 and put 7 back on becasue my wife has vision issues and was unable to read websites correcly with IE8.
couldnt they have made disapearing ink in a toner cart to just plug into any printer in the world? oh yeah.. that would make it too easy and then they couldnt charge a ton for some stupid paper that reacts to UV Rays.. hmm.. what if you go out in the sun to read? oh yeah the Suns UV rays will erase your page before the day is done.
this goes along the lines of Solar Print Kit paper already devloped and in stores so you can buy it now.. 12 sheets for less then $6.00 http://www.xump.com/Science/SolarPrintRefilPaper.cfm
Umm well that wont work too well with most people with Vision issues..
most color blind deficits are a form of red/green "Deuteranope", or another type of red/green "Protanope". the other kind found is a form of blue/yellow deficit "Tritanope"
Here is a site you can test other web pages with to see how people with color bindness would see that site. http://www.vischeck.com/vischeck/vischeckURL.php
The real best way was like back in the old days with a BLACK background with White or Green monochrom colors. ever check out M.S. high contrast mode;) lol
I am a Collage Grad, with a MCSE +I, A+ Cert, Genesys Telecom Certified, can work on on IVRs, can do Webpage desgin, worked in a Help Desk for a large company, and can program, make macros, automate PC processes and work procedures... and have been looking for any type of IT job for at least 7 years (in the California Bay Area) now.. but i have been stuck doing Home Loans and now and working at a bank as a Customer Service Team Lead.
I also know a few people in my area in my same situation.. so there is no shortage out there of IT workers.. there IS a shortage of IT jobs.. I say it is the goverment.. how much longer do we have this guy in office again?;)
this type of issue. I tell people where if they are running into this issue to run a very simple program that blocks Comcast and the government/schools and such from tracing and seeing what you are looking at/downloading.. it isn't perfect, but hey whatever gets you around the Comcast blocking program you shouldn't shake a stick at. And you will not have to switch to Verizon to get their stupid package. But if you all knew how to do that you wouldn't be reading this article;)
You said what I was thinking,. And plus Radiohead made money from what they did becasue they didnt use a record label to sell the CD. if they did they would have not made much at all.
Sounds like this guy is just trying to get US back in the headlines. But not all the things Bono does to aid the world would make me want to buy an album of theirs. I still have my original U2 album Boy & Joushua Tree on Vinal.. maybe i will just burn them now to kill the ozone.. wont Bono be proud.;)
so if i can get an external 500 gig for $120 then why would i pay $250 a year for less storage.. i get the whole back up thing they would be doing, but any self respecting IT person would back up their own hard drives often enough.
I have a SafeDeposit box (I work for a bank) for free so i keep all my back ups in there. That box it is in is fire proof.
hmm I should do research? I think not. You should resarch before bagging on someone else's post.
I maybe should not have said elumator. But have you heard of the: "XBOX software development kit" you can download that almost anywhere. I know, I know it really isn't an elumator in that since, but in the other way it is because you can play all the xBox game images. So very easy to DL and play on your home PC it isnt funny.
I agree with you on that you are right about those other two elumators.. they suck and only work on one game each. but they are not the only way to play xBox games on the PC. (and if you actually read my post.. i said that a lot of the games on the xBox eventually get released onto PC platform.)
hmm more name calling.. come on. you can do better than loony. I mean really now. How about an Anagram of your screen name: Dry Elf Ear or A Led Ferry have a good one Red.. type at you later
