  1. Another reason to NOT buy a XBox EVER! on Gears of War Heading To PC Someday · · Score: 2, Interesting

If you have just a little patience, then almost all the games out on the XBox 360 will be put into PC platform. Like Halo did for the regular Xbox and a few other games that dont need to be mentioned becasue they suck. Not to mention elumators work great on the PC to play a huge portion of Xbox games. Now dont get me wrong here. I am an avid Microsoft fan, beta tester and what not for them. but I would never put money down on a fancy gaming system when i could drop the same money into my home system and have it more powerful then what gameing system is out.

True very True about the Star Wars mess. after the NGE they did it messed the whole thing up. i played it for a bit becasue a friend really wanted me on his server. I have been playing City of Heroes though since it came out.. i also have a FFXI account, but i am thinking of selling that one now that i am married i dont have as much time to devote to online games. so now my PSP is saving me. :) a cool MMORPG for the PSP would be cool i think. lol

Star Craft is fine and all.. but you already have a "Craf" game... World of Warcraft.. hmm lets see.. should we make a game that is pretty darn the same thing as what we already have? migth seem like a good business model right now, becasue of all the people that love WoW. But as an avid Diblo 1 & 2 player i would love to see a new update to an already MMORPG. It is all there. just needs some graphic tweaks and allow a ton of people in the same "world". I think that waisting time and money on Star Craft is a bad idea. and one big reason why is that Star Trek MMORPG will be out soon. how many star based MMORPGs do we need? Star wars Star Trek adn now Star Craft? i think not.

  4. GTA VCS for PSP on Slashdot's Games of the Year · · Score: 1

I think having Vice City Stories on my PSP has been great this year. Not too many great PSP games out there right now and i have always loved the GTA games. this one has some great added options like being able to buy back your guns after being arested and such. (also being able to swim rocks).
I have been playing Valkrie Profile on the PSP and that is a nice port they did. I also have been happy playing Final Fantasy XII on the PSP. being able to play PSOne games on the PSP is sweet. so maybe that is the best thing this year for me at least.
I would NEVER buy a Xbox becasue my home PC is a nice gaming rig so no need for a Xbox. I have some money set aside for the PS3 but i think i will wait till May to buy one.

  5. "Pod "and "i" are dumb names to add to anything on Apple Goes After the Term 'Podcast' · · Score: 1

I agree fully with Apple on this one. but i think that no one ever should have called a Pod Cast a PODCast unless they were using their iPod directly to send the data over the stream. i had a buddy with a SoundForge radio staion and he called the a Pod Cast. i told him that is in no way a Pod Cast. no way! he doesnt even own an iPod (nor does any one i know hehehe). We all have Archos and Apitek products.
I think that "normal" people are so out of touch with PCs and understanding what is going on with their PCs and all this is becasue of Mac making it easy enough for a 2 year old to use a PC. so adding names like Pod to things that got with your iPod makes since to me beacsue normal people are to dumb to understand it if it didnt have the Pod in the name.

I think that if they really wanted a true to RPG table top game for the PS3 or what ever they should have made a shadowrun game like how the newer GTA's are set up. That way people can pick what type of char. they want to be. be it Rigger / Decker / Mage / Body Mods / or combo, but you would be able to grow your char. like if on one mission your arm gets blown of you can go to a hosiptal and get a new one put on be it cyber or cloned. i think making Shadowrun a FPS is the worst idea i have ever heard! (well i hate ALL FPS so it is hard for me to say anything else.)

Have you checked out JVC's line of home therate products? i love my ALL JVC home audio system/TV. They have a thing called AV comp-u-link. this is a 3.55mm jack that takes of all things any male to male headphone cord. With this all hooked together, my TV/DVD/Reciver i can plop a DVD in and if i am watching TV the reciver will automaticly switch over to DVD and then change the sound and suround levels to where i had set it last for playing a DVD. If i turn off my TV, everything JVC related also turns off. all in all the JVC comp-u-link is awesome and i would sujest it to any one.

Plus if you feeling up to it you can always get the new Mod Chip that is out and you can use Custom firmwares made by the homebrew people. I have coded many Java games to run on the 2.5 browser and they are great to play with too. Everyone loves a quick game of hangman or tic tac toe! lol but being able to also run Elumators so i can also play to ever cool GameBoy games on my PSP. i dont see being able play PSP or old PSone games on a DS ;)

I was going to say the same thing the other way around. Lucasarts has always been the forfront of messing up the fun for poeple playing their games. SOE on the other hand has a few great MMORPGs, i played Final Fantasy XI for over two years, all the updates they did were great. the down time was nill. being able to group with people to have a nice team effort wroked great. i loved it. but then a freind of mine (an avid Star Wars junkie) wanted me to play a medic toon on his server. so i joined up before the NGE that they did to that poor game. at first it was okay, not really up to par with FFXI but okay. then after the NGE it went all down hill, things i had on my toon were no longer useable, the path that i had spent HOURS and DAYS working on was gone and all i had was my orginal path and a stupid re-spec thing. So all in all i would say SOE is okay. Lucasarts has their thumb on the wrong part of the world. they have no idea that people no longer like Star Wars PC games becasue of this online one.

Endless hours of fun and learning as you assemble and experiment with a unique reversible fuel cell. This new Thames & Kosmos Fuel Cell Kit provides a playful introduction to one of the most significant technologies of the 21st Century. With this kit you can build a model car that actually runs on water! Now that we have your attention, roll up your sleeves and find out more through experiments and demonstrations you can do on your own, in a classroom or with friends. Fuel cells are one of the most promising means of producing energy in the future. Because they do not consume fossil fuels they are considered environmentally friendly. Automobile manufacturers are already experimenting successfully with this technology and it is widely believed that fuel cells will become the energy source for automobiles in the near future. With this unique kit, you can build your own experimental reversible fuel cell car to learn more about this energy source. With more than 30 experiments and demonstrations, provided either in the kit or on our web site, users will learn how a reversible fuel cell works to perform electrolysis as well as to create energy. The electricity required to activate electrolysis is created with a large solar cell included with the kit. During electrolysis, water is separated into hydrogen and oxygen and the resulting energy is stored as a gas. When needed, the gas is fed into the fuel cell, which then serves as the power source. The Thames & Kosmos Fuel Cell kit also includes a digital MultiMate which measures currents and voltage, allowing you to learn exactly what a fuel cell is and how it functions. The experiments and demonstrations explain the physics upon which this future technology is based. Experiments 30 Experiments include: How to build a solar-powered car; Effects of direct and indirect radiation; Characteristics of a solar module; Electrolysis and its effect on water; Oxy-hydrogen test; How to construct and load a reversible fuel cell; Decomposition of water in the fuel cell; Qualitative and quantitative analysis of gas in a fuel cell; How efficient is electrolysis?; How light influences electrolysis; Solar electrolysis; Fuel cell-powered car.
