UMD is simply too expensive. With prices of portable DVD players below that of PSP, and prices of DVD's way below UMD (Unless you shop at Suncoast), no sensible person would purchase PSP to view movies. Especially not this person.
I dont know why people believe that carbon nano tubes are such a remarkable advance. No one figured out the draw backs this will create? A new extremly durable material, that will become highly affordible... Wow I cant frikin wait till people start making guns and knives out of it... When you can no longer successfully screen a person using a metal detector and more invasive messures will have to be applied, don't tell them I didnt warn you.
For a small price give them too little. For a slightly higher price, give them more than they can chew. It's classic marketing for you. Most of this "Extra" content isn't worth the paper its printed on.
But if this IPO happened little over 6 years ago, the price of a share would be $170 after first day.

This clearly smells like a precursor to Halo for PC with heavy DRM a la Steam.
